Default Do u eat well and exercise?

Just curious how many of us eat well and exercise on a regular basis. As a teacher of health I'm surprised how few people take care of themselves. Most people probably take better care of their SCIONS or Pets than themselves.

I try to get to the gym 3-5 times a week. It's been really hectic lately so i've been slacking off. I don't necessarily eat so well, but I'm working on that.

i used to an exercise video game program. like when playing a game like need for speed, i would do 10 push-ups and sit-ups every race. used to do about 150 to 200 a day, but this semester has been tough and i haven't been able fit in any gaming time...i've gotten chubby...probably the reason my tc has been feeling sluggish...

I excercise a few times per week and cycle too. I used to have really bad eating habits but got tired of feeling like crap and decided to change. After all, if you don't take care of your body where else will you live? Anyway, got on the excercise kick added healthier choices in my daily routine then found a nutrition company that I loved. Funny story, got great results then partnered with them and now sell their products part time. Ended up an intersting cycle on my way to becoming healthier.

Haha, good ol' vitamins F(at) and Na. I do like the lean pockets though. Pretty tasty and good when you gotta grab n' dash.
Personally, I try to weightlift 3 times a week, but I get distracted easily and lazy when it's 20 degrees or lower out. (my bench is in the garage. new apt isn't big enough ) Sex is by far the best exercise you can get, but sadly I haven't gotten to "work out" lately by no choice of my own... Stupid dry spells (shakes fist)
As far as eating goes, I have the metabolism of a jackrabbit on crack. I could eat a whole cheesecake myself and never gain a pound (that is if I could fit the whole thing in my little stomach...). My body regulates my cholesterol very efficiently as well. So technically I probably don't need to eat overly healthy, but I tend to feel a lot better when I do. I try not to eat junk food and opt for "real" food instead. I'm mildly hypoglycemic though so I try to avoid stuff that won't prevent me from passing out.

so i'm going to Miami NEXT WEEK lol for the Scion trip. I've been exercising at least 2 times a week doing some light weights and 25 minutes of cardio a session (it burns 250 calories). I really don't like to exercise but I feel better after I do it so I just go and push myself to do it. I'm 25 and soon i'll be 30 soon and I know I need to get into healthier habits.

I'm on the oh so healthy Lean Pockets (usually 2 boxes of 4 for $6 or 4 boxes for $10 and around 270-300 calories each) as breakfast and lunch regimen because they are cheap and easy to prepare at work and its better than spending $1.50 on a bagel for breakfast (400+ calories) and between $5-$10 for lunch (most likely over 500 calories). Thats my rational even though my sodium intake from the hot pockets is probably sky high. I snack frequently but not in large portions at work but its usually pretzels and chocolate (more salt and an antioxidant lol). Sometimes as a snack when I get home from work if I'm hungry and theres time before dinner I have Tostidos scoops and salsa (probably no more than 200 calories if you stick to the serving size). Salsa is a good healthy option and is usually filling and the tostidos are obviously better than regular chips. For dinner its usually a good balance of a starch, veggie and a meat and a large glass of milk which i consider to be a fairly balanced choice and then i may or may not have a low fat ice cream bar (around 90-120 calories) depending on my mood haha.

My parents are both health and phys ed teachers and they try and promote healthy eating but it doesnt always work lol.

I don't know anything about carbs or fat or any of that other food mumbo jumbo. I eat what I like, I just don't overeat. I think that there is a major problem with gluttony in this country. I'm no body builder or anything, but I do have a healthy wieght. I lead a very active lifestyle, but rarely do I formally "exercise". I drink a lot of beer (my biggest downfall) but luckily my metabolism must not have caught up with me yet, lol!

I haven't excercised in over 6 months
Recently I'm going back to eating fruits instead of junk food (tip: greek yoghurt "diluted" with non fat yoghurt and some honey on top is a great sweet tooth craving substitute)
oh yeah and I smoke

Eating right is very subjective- the amounts of carbs proteins and fats one consumes is very important. I would be curious to find out how many calories your consuming

In my professional opinion cardio workouts are important but not as much as strength training. Strength training burns calories for hours after your workout. When lifting are you doing 3 sets of 10 reps and resting for minutes or are you doing circuit training. Circuit training is unbelievable at increasing strength and raising heart rate. Continual movement without much rest.

When I was in college I ran track, played basketball and lifted all the time. I was down to 5% body fat. No matter how hard I tried I could not get a 6 pack abs. My diet at the time was sabotaging everything not to mention I drank all the time. Alcohol is empty but TASTY calories.

A picture would shed light on what you consider a gut. It could also be self image. What you consider a gut may be nothing to some one else.
