Default ebay vs namebrand (which?)

i've come acrossed products that recently bought or want to buy. i just want to know what you people think about ebay products and name brand products. ebay is cheaper of course, but is it the same quality? to me the product looks the same and made with the same materials just not name brand. just like over the counter generic drugs. but i'm not saying they're generic

not everything in ebay is generic stuff but it all depend on you. if you dont mind telling your friends you got it from ebay then so be it.

as long as it makes you happy, its your car do it the way you want.

i dint know there was a rule in building a unique car

Some stuff is actually legit. But most things are just lower grade.

Take the sonar headlights. Ebay sellers sell them cheaper because they are C or D grade and will likely fog up and stuff. They can get these lower grade products from the dealer at a cheaper cost than the ones bbist sells, which don't fog.

Other stuff is just really cheap and made with crappy materials.

forgot to put that. yea not everything is generic or instead of saying generic. let just say CHEAPER. but how bout the identical item that is cheaper. should i go name brand or ebay?

i don't mind saying it's from ebay cuz if i can get the same performance for cheaper might as well do it. not that i'm a cheap sh#t, just trying to budget and i have a family.
like one said "what ever make you happy"

I would perfer name brand since some of the things on ebay are cheap and hey....maybe one day it breaks and something happens to you or the car. Then you would regreat it. But if it's something small like bulbs or something, I say hey! go for it since you save money. But I wouldn't trust ebay for any other parts for my car since it might have a safety issue.

You need to remember that there really isn't any such thing as "Ebay Brand" items. What you find on ebay can be an actual name brand or (as is often the case) there are many gray market or inexpensive knock-off items. The quality of those items is going to vary from one seller to another. Sometimes the stuff is fine...sometimes it's junk. I'm usually very selective what I buy from there if it's not an actual brand-name item.
