Default FedUp with FedEx.

just a little rant.
im kinda dissapointed in FedEx.
i shipped some bulbs to another member on here and he kept PMing me asking where they were so i found the tracking number (which i had misplaced), only to type it in on their website and discovered the bulbs were still in the town next to mine...
WTF?
so i called and you know what they said?
"o, the package was broken so we just threw it out."
are you fkin kidding me!?
they could at least email me or call me to notify me of what happened and they should pay for it outright, i shouldnt have to file a claim and wait and deal with all that bullisht.

granted it was only $10 so im not as ____ed as i am dissapointed at the lack of customer service.

This happened to me when I bought a detail kit from someone on ebay (also a member on here).

Fedex broke a few of my spray bottles while shipping, and proceeded to open my package up, rummage through my stuff and take out the bottles they thought were too damaged to leave in the box.

Instead of asking me to come pick up my leaking package, they told me two bottles were broken and they took them out.

How am I supposed to know they were broken and someone didn't just break the box open and take my stuff?

Fedex told me it wasn't my problem and I couldn't deal with it, it was up to the sender to deal with the issue. I lost it.

Fedex sucks a fat wiener. Thats about the nicest thing I can say about them.

I think all the shipping companies suck in one way or another. FedEx showed up with my new iPod today. Signature required. Marked on the website as not delivered (I wasn't there, so no sig), but they left it anyway.

My biggest gripe with Fed-Ex is that they will intentionally hold a package to slow it down. I've seen it happen many times. Here's an example: Lets say you live in PA and you order an item from NY. With UPS that is a one-day ship and Fed-Ex can easily do it in one day as well. BUT, lets say that the company you buy from uses Fed-Ex "Saver" 3-day service. Many times you will NOT get that package in less than 3 days even though it will be sitting at your local distribution site in one day. Why? Because Fed-Ex wants you to pay for the faster service if you want it faster. UPS wont do that. If you ship a package by regular UPS ground to a close enough location it will still get there the next day. They don't hold it up on purpose like Fed-Ex.

The day it was supposed to arrive, it said 'unknown address' on the tracking. So basically, the driver couldn't find my house. I called Fedex and asked to pick it up at the distro. They said sure, it'll be available after 7. I went after work, called, they said it would be right out.

I waited 3 hours for it. They kept saying that it might have switched trucks and they were looking for it. They couldn't find it. They offered to deliver it the next day, I told them that they couldn't find the house the first time, why should the second be any different. They offered to send it to my work address. I said great. The next day, I watched the tracking info, then it said, attempt made, no body home. They tried sending it to my house and it apparently required a signature.

I called again and asked to pick it up. The rep apologized and said that they aren't allowed to change ship to addresses. I asked to pick it up again (this being Friday, they weren't going to try again until Monday)

She put me on hold. 30 minutes later, she said she had the package in hand and when I came in, she would bring it out for me. Great.

I get back to the distro, again. I call and ask for the rep I spoke with. I was informed that she had gone home. I told them the situation that the package was waiting for me. They said they'd check. Two hours later, they told me that, once again, they couldn't find it. It went in the sorter and would be on a truck for Monday delivery.

I asked for a supervisor and told them this was unacceptable. I wasted 5 hours because they couldn't do their job properly. They told me that they don't offer Saturday pickup. I said this is a 24 hour operation, so someone must be there in the morning. They said yes, and I told them that I would be there to get my package.

They gave me the name of the morning manager. He was due to arrive at midnight and stay until 7. I was told to call at 5AM to tell him I would be in so he could pull it off the truck.

I woke up early Saturday and called. No answer. At this point, I was really irritated and tired. So I said eff it, and went back to the distro.

I walked in and the guard said "we don't have saturday pickup"
I told him "you do today". I called and someone said they'd look for it. 15 minutes later, I had my package in hand.

A couple calls to FedEx corporate to file a formal complaint and that was it.

It was one of the most annoying experiences I've ever had. Grr...
