Well me and RCZDesigns wanted to see who was faster in Forza in Pete's topic. I thought it would be pretty cool if we had something like weekly challenges and see who on scionlife is the fastest... in forza. Lol. Maybe we should run these Friday-Friday? Basically each challenge will have its own set of settings, limitations, what have you. Lets start this off with the challenge me and RCZDesigns was having. Of Course some type of proof will be needed if you want to claim first place( Doesn't have to be video. A picture works too).

My time is terrible, I got to get more than an initial practice lap in. I'll update tomorrow with a pic of a better time.

Got an update... had a 8:25ish going but I can't be sure because when I crossed the finish it jumped to 8:30something because I threw a tire off the course a few times.

How can I get my lap time without the penalties? I'm running arcade - free run right now

 

aright looks like im gonna have to lock my time down. You're gettin kinda close to my time. Do cars handle differently in arcade then they do in career?

 

Did a few practice laps, then grabbed this time.

Actually it wasn't THAT good, I had to take the pic early so you could see the actual time, add about 3 seconds to that. I didn't want to cross and have the game include my penalty time into the lap.


(drove in the grass for about 1/8th mile down the long windy straight about half info the track, luckily not losing much of any speed or time)

Had line & brake assist on, and also ABS. Manual trans, no TCS no STM.

Bah. My xbox got the ring o death. I'm out of this challenge.

I WIN! Bahahaha. Red ring of death ain't got poop on me. Replaced the Thermal paste on the GPU and CPU with some new paste and it looks like it did the trick. Played it for an hour and a half and I shut it down myself, didn't shut it down cuz it froze haha. Better prepare yourself for a new faster time from me in no time. :]

Let me quote my friend as I had my 360 layed out on the table tryin to get the Heat Sync off (Microsoft decided to use these stupid metal clips)

I got PGR4, been playing that lately. Makes me wish Forza2 had an in-car view. I really hope the next forza has that, it's twice as fun to be "behind the wheel'
