A friend and I are considering starting a project. We want to buy something to work on and make a beast. So far we've thought of two possible choices. So far its down to a 92ish VW Golf or a Pontiac Fiero. We're leaning towards the Fiero. We want to put a powerful engine in the thing. Maybe a Chevy LS6 if we can find one and if it fits. Supercharge it... do some work. Basically make the car a drag racing beast. I was also thinkin it'd be kinda cool to have a blower stickin out of the back of the fiero. It'd be a big project for us and probably take a year or two or three. But it'd be fun learning and building the thing. What do u guys think?

Yea the Mazda was an RX-3. 470whp. It was the July 2007 issue. With the Beast auto Subie on the front cover.

 

I knew a guy in highschool who wanted to throw a small block in the back of a Metro and make it RWD. I doubt he ever did it but it would be cool to see. I bet something like that would damn near do flips with drag slicks.

Hans, look up some RX-3 vids on youtube. There are a few where the car practically does a backflip at launch. I think most of those guys are running a variation of the 13B, but I'd like to see a triple rotor 20B-REW stuffed into an RX3. Plus it makes moe sense, RX-3 with a three rotor engine.

how bout a miata, a friend of mine has one, looks a lil ricey (non painted body kiet, faded paint, FART cannon, holes in the rear trunk) then, when u look under the hood, dont mess with it. PERIOD.

 

I'm sure you can pick up a first or second gen 7 for cheap.
