Default Geforce 7900 computer video card questions

OK - so the geforce 7900 video cards right now seem to be the best bang for the buck. For around $150 you can get one. I know they are direct x 9 but next year when direct x 10 goes into full action ...the $400 video cards out now will be $200.

So - I have narrowed down my search but do not know which to pick:

1.) XFX Geforce 7900 GS Extreme
2.) EVGA Geforce 7900 KO
3.) XFX 7900 GS
4.) PNY Verto Geforce 7900 GS

Eventhough im a comp sci guy - that does not mean I know the most about gaming. If a few people can help me make a decision that would be great. Im looking to get the card asap.[/code]

While going to:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...asp?CatId=1839

I was able to narrow it down to either option 1 or 2. Its clear that the 7900 extreme or KO is the way to go out of those 4. Number 3 or 4 are slower and almost the exact same price.

Good find - I went to their homepage and it also statest that overclocking does not void the warranty. As long as the product is not damaged physically - they will warranty it.

^ i already bought the KO - I hate when my own pcs break because I spend all day working out problems at work. But ...i just bought the KO board because my comp wont even turn on. I think either my video card blew out or some kind of motherboard problem because the comp is starting up but nothing visual.

I just bought a barebones setup because i was getting a case and power supply for $40 more then what the cpu i wanted was selling for .... now last night i ran into this wondering problem where it wont turn on ...so i just bought the video card to hold me off till next year.

that FX-60 cpu just came down to $300 ....great cpu. I should be able to overclock it atleast a few hundrew mhz.

I stopped buying from newegg because of sales tax. I strictly use tigerdirect unless the product is real cheap and there is free shipping. It bothers me spending an additional 7% when I can shop at tigerdirect and either get no sales tax - or spend extra to get express shipping for the price i would have spent on tax.
