It is a seriously stupid law. I'd fight it. I am not sure off the top of my head how I might word a defense,... but. I find it extremely stupid that a Harley with an ear drum breaking 110db exhaust that can be heard for a good 4 city blocks is completely legal. Or how your own exhaust can be quite loud and audiable for well over 50 feet, yet your STEREO can't be heard past 50 feet. Heck, most good stock stereos in all cars these days can be heard at 50 feet. It ain't that far away.

The law is the law,.. 50 feet? If that is true, you might have broke the 'law' and have to pay. But I'd take my 10-15 minutes in court to voice your opinion of the law in a nice manner so hopefully the judge might understand it's stupidness and let you go or drop the fine. In the grand scheme of things, we spend thousands and thousands of dollars on our systems, a 135 dollar ticket is squat.

you can always fight a ticket. (and you should)
Why should you always fight a ticket when you were clearly wrong? If you were in the wrong you should pay the ticket and fix yourself. Trying to scam your way through life is no way to live.
Uh... cuz you're innocent until proven guilty?

I'm not sure, but I'd imagine no, since your car is registered in another state. But since it's now a moving violation, I'm not sure how that works.

i think you have some grace period, i think as long as you have a AZ plate they wont give you too much hassle, if they pull you over they would tell you to remove it.......not all violations are always ticketed, again its up to the officer.

yeah its a dumb law, the harley thing burns me up too, you know cops wont mess with harleys, they probably own one themselves.........i think the noise law should apply to both car and harley's its not nessacary for a Harley to make that much noise, look at street bikes exahust, not very loud............

Hey Kilo6, where'd you find out that having tint on the fronts is now a moving violation? What are your sources? It just sounds a little ludicrous that having front tint would be a moving violation Just curious... It'll help me decided if I want to tint the fronts again...

On my street, I'm woken up more often by bumping teenagers with subs than harleys. . . they usually avoid riding late at night in my experience. . .

. . . I know most of you bump your systems in commercial areas, but I hate the kids that do it on residential streets, with their windows open, in the freezing winter. I have subs too, but I turn it down on a residential street.

Do you where I can read up on this? My ticket said "correctable" but I really don't want to get the point on my record if i can avoid it. That's really stupid if you get a point on the driving record for this.

The ticket was issued in late november. When did this take effect?

always fight your tickets!

i have about 4 speeding tickets i have beaten in 3 years ... got 1 in the pipeline.

also redlight tickets are easy to beat too. don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

here's my latest:

go CHP!!! they love playing "Let's Find The Guy That Looks Like He Can Afford A Ticket"....

i love them too.... total CHP man hours wasted on me: 1153 (roughly the salary of a court clerk for one year)[/img]

All you gotta do is get a lawyer...... My roomate has 6 DWI's, only 1 is still pending and the rest have been thrown out. Not to mention 3 of them were in the same week!

Granted he's paid over 15k in legal fees, but you can pretty much get away with murder with a lawyer.......... I'm lookin at you OJ.
