Well, there is a Forza thread, so I figured there should be a GT5 thread. So here it is, the thread for the least realistic 'simulation' game ever made.

Oh I guess you haven't heard the truth about the damage lol.
Approx 1/10th of the vehicles will support the damage, that 1/10th being 'new' vehicles. The other 9/10th are cars from older games, just imported with updated graphics. Oh and the damage is purely cosmetic. So crashing into a wall at 300mph will still do nothing at all, you can just bounce off the wall and continue driving like nothing happened.

Yep lol. The only reason they're doing that is so they can say it has damage in it. There is a video of a Subaru crashing all over the place, and from watching that, I laughed. The only thing that happens is the bumper falls off on 1 side and the doors open. No crumple, no glass breaking, nothing of that sort. The guy even drives head on into a wall doing about 30 and it just bounces off the wall lmao.

damage rendering i could care less about, it is neat and sometimes fun, in games like burnout, but gran turismo follows the philosophy that the cars are rolling works of art and such. i hate scratching and damaging beautiful cars.
i hated need for speed prostreet because in addition to damage rendering and performance degradation, you had to pay to fix the damn car before entering another event! what a drag on the gameplay.
for me, gran turismo 5 really needs to improve on the cars grip and handling. gt4 was rediculous, why the hell is my 34 skyline UNDERSTEERING on a banked curve! i mean seriously, WTH! and the rally and snow races were just pathetic.
they should also add more upgrades for the supercharger feature, which was neat, oh, and make drifting present. gt4 physics was dead set against drifting being possible it seemed.
oh, and lastly, it must have the scion tC in it! i was so happy to see scion in the game, and then go and find that they only have the friggan xA and xB avaliable! BS!

Eh, I'll probably still pick it up though. Any other games you're going to get?
