Sorry I dont know much about these 2 networks..Seeing if people can "enlighten" me!!!

 

Phones that use the 3G connection constantly will have a shorter battery. The parts used to allow the 3G connection just use much more juice. It is a faster connection for web browsing, sending MMS, e-mail, etc.

As far as for actually making calls, it all depends on the signal strength of where you are.
