Default Ha.. Al Zarqawi dead!

Finally... one more scum bag waxed.. I am positive that my fellow OIF Vets, and my current brothers & sisters in Iraq are happy as can be now that he's off the streets. I can only bet that his death is only going to spur more violence though. None the less, that bastard is dead!!!

i agree there will probably be a spike in violence... but think with one of the proverbial "heads" cut off the snake...the movement may fall quicker now

I also like how the govt proudly showed photos of his dead body. Just adds to the humiliation that that scumbag deserved.

Yeah. Bush claims that this will "turn the tide". I dont think it'll matter much, ultimately. Iraq sucks, and if it wasn't for the oil, it wouldn't be worth ____ing on.
I feel for everybody still over there, and I hope they get to come home soon. God bless them all.

The problem with most of their mentalities over there, they were all brain washed for decades.. All it takes is one brave individual to take a stand against the American and Iraqi enforced government, and you have yourself another Zarqawi. I forsee a big shift in how they operate, since it seems like they are getting picked off one by one.

I agree fully.. there was another thread in here that I debated the US's mentality and how they view things.. we are just as jacked up in the head as they are..

I also FIRMLY believe that this war will not be over anytime soon.. I can almost bet that the youngest member on here will not see the end of this war. I think its on the right path to making our departure from the Middle East (at least a good percentage of troops). We will be there for some time to come.. just like Korea & Germany.

I totally agree with you there.

LAst Saturday, Donald Rumsfeld assured the audience, "We don't intend to occupy [Iraq] for any period of time. Our troops would like to go home and they will go home."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

Depending on what you read, between six and fourteen more US military bases are under construction in Iraq. The gargantuan military base, Camp Anaconda, occupies 15 square miles of Iraqi soil near Balad. The base is home to 20,000 soldiers and thousands of "contractors," or mercenaries. The aircraft runway at Anaconda is the second busiest in the world, behind only Chicagos OHare airport.

It doesnt appear well be leaving at all.

Well, we won't be leaving until at least 2008 when Bush leaves office. But then....

President Dick Cheney?
President Don Rumsfeld?

Then why build at least 7 military installations?

We will not be leaving for 20 or more years.
