Well, they have to be white. Which technically is only 4300k. You could probably get away with 6000k as well.

About the only thing they could really get you for would be excessive glare. If you aim your lights down a bit after the install, you should be able to eliminate that.

Exactly why the big good companies (Raybrig, Philips, Catz) are not sold Stateside anymore.

Motor vehicle code is done state by state. There's no federal law stating requirements for a vehicle's equipment.

In FL, HIDs may very well be illegal. I don't know; I don't live in FL. In IL, however, as long as they are white (4300k), you are ok. Just don't produce excessive glare.

Yea, IL has been softening their stance on aftermarket HID. I don't know anyone who's been pulled over for em.

Ya; i haven't had a problem since a lot of corporate peeps have Bemers and what not that are about the same color as my 6000k; only time they prob pulled em over in b/n is because they look for reasons to pull em over there since all the Suby, Evo, and Honda guys like to "race" and act stupid.

HID's Are illegal in a non HID housing (i.e. OEM!) as the law states, I been driving around with HID's for 3yrs w/o issue but I haven't and don't think you would get pulled over unless your blinding oncoming traffic,

Yellow HID for headlights is pushing your luck but Fogs I don't see to much a issue unless like I said unless your blinding oncoming traffic or a Cop..lol
