I think it might have a cult following. IMO it took the xb a while to be accepted in the general public, and what made the xb so popular was the fact that it was considered ugly and different. Even the scion ads admitted the xb's popularity due to its ugliness.

the honda's even uglier.. and more different than the xb's.. maybe honda's trying to take the xb one step further...

I think a car like this might actually work "because" its ugly and so abnormal looking, that people won't be able to NOT stare at it. and I suppose people like the attention. I think the car might actually work once you start modifying it.. i.e. drop, deep dish rims, tint and different paint schemes.

 

More than anything else I think it's the 10 inch wheels - I don't want another Honda with 10 inch wheels - one was enough. ('72 Z600 Coupe)
