I hope it was an American Honda employee who designed that thing, otherwise the poor guy might have to commit seppuku to save the family honor. Or something.

Most people think the xB is the ugliest car on the road, but this has it beat.

Ooh, I think I like that Mazda one. Someday I'll go look for side shots of the car.

Don't know if there's a LHD version for export to anywhers, though, like there are for some of the others.

Don't forget the Hornet. It'd be nice if this made it to production.

The Honda in question is ugly as sin and will most likely never see the light of USDM. The Honda looks like something that would primarily be used in Japan as a delivery vehicle within large cities such as Tokyo.

As far as Honda's answer to the xB that would be the god awful Element. I did not hate the element as much until one beat me in a Cardomain Face Off. Bitter, yes I am. lol

That's because the Element is much cooler than the xB.

You might wanna knock Mitsu off that list since Chrysler and Mitsu have very similar transmissions. They used to be buddied up. Ever hear of DSM? It stands for Diamond Star Motors. Back in the day they used to swap parts and inner workings for their vehicles. They are basically the same. For a short while I owned a 1979 Chrysler Challenger and the engine and transmission were both Mitsubishi.

if that IS honda's answer, they clearly did not understand the question.

lol the story goes that parts from a chevy came standard on them

In all seriousness though, does Chrysler still have quality problems? I see a bunch of PT's, Chargers, and that one that looks like it has a big steel urinal for a grill.

Interbreeding between Japanese and US vehicles isn't something all that new: My '74 Toyota Land Cruiser that I bought at the end of '73 eventually had a Chevy (Delco) distributor and Chevy (Rochester) carb bolted on to it, and there were a lot of other engine parts that would have fit. The Toyota 2F engine seems to have been a fairly decent copy of the Chevy 235 six... (Been too many years for me to remember details, though.)

They do still have some quality problems, but I don't see their customer service being very good since the line was sold. Customer service will probably falter as the new owners try to turn the company around. With that type of thinking quality may also become a problem again.

yes, they still have the normal quality issues, chrysler still can't build a decent transmission, I think a big part of whats kept them going is the fact that they still have the 318 and 360s on the market, hell the new hemis, are just slightly modified 318s

although what they call a hemi isn't a real hemi
