Default How many Warning tickets can you have?

OK, so I was driving back from a trip to San Antonio, I was about halfway home when I got pulled over.. I know I'm not speeding but usual routine presented my license. I just got my second Warning for not having a front license plate.
I showed the officer my license mount and said was broken in the car wash, I'm not sure if he bought my excuse (yes, it's true its was broken in the car wash) but he asked me if I had my plate in my windshield for awhile and
since I never had it on my windshield I answered "No, I tried but it gets in the way"

Now this is my second Warning ticket, you know how many you can have before you get the real ones? I'm pretty sure officers just don't just buy your excuses whether true or not.
Since its a warning does it mean they won't have a record?

And If an officer asks you this "What is that radar detector for?" what would you say? lol I know, he asked me and before I could answer he said "so you can speed?" and all I said was "not really"

What you guys think?

Hmmm...I don't know bout you guys in Cali your laws might be tighter, but it says something that its a warning for not having front plates and will not be part of the record and this is the second,
the first was Nov. 06. Maybe it stays in their system for a while then gone in few months.

a query only comes up if they put you into the system. you can get pulled over thousands of times and get your license ran through teh system each time and never get in trouble.

if you got a piece of paper it's not a warning ticket it IS a ticket.

Cops are used to hearing a million and one excuses a day, so of course they aren't going to buy yours. They're jaded to it.

As long as it's not something farfetched and rediculous sounding it and you come across as earnest then they will usually let you go if it was minor to begin with.

As for the radar detector, well...what else would you have it for? There's not a single other use for it.

^^ lol When the cop said what is the radar detector for? I actually was gonna answer "To Detect radars!!" but not crazy enough to do that lol but it was some kindofa question i was like...duh? But a better way to answer would be "Its purely cosmetic, it has been proven that it doesnt work and my friend has been using that and still get speeding tickets"..

i've gotten several warnings...both verbal and written. but none of them are noted in the states db. they only show that they ran my plates since running plates is routine when you get pulled over. (in IL at least)

Hey, I've seen LOUD ambulances coming up behind some idiots who have to get honked at a good 10 times before they move out of the way.

There is no query for warnings...the only query is for tickets and warrants....

See, that ____es me off.

In Cherry Hill, NJ there is a fire station right on Route 70 that people refuse to slow down for when they clearly see the giant red trucks with their lights going trying to get out of their station to save some dude's house.
