Interesting note: the world record price paid for a full corked bottle of wine was a Chateau Margaux 1789 that was part of Thomas Jefferson’s personal collection, LONDON Christies 1989 $265,000.

skunky beer is good for slug bate just put it in a saucer and over night you see a lot of dead slugs that died happy

 

That's obviously not for drinking, but for collecting. I'm not a collector, so that has no appeal to me. Now, for consumption purposes, I've been known to pay ~$10/bottle for some limited run brews, and that would probably be my limit.

 

I think I paid about 35 euro for a 1973 bottle of Chimay when I did some lateral tasting (tried a '73, '83 and '93) at The Kulminator in Antwerpen, but it was worth it! $8-$10 USD is not an uncommon price to pay for some higher quality and limited edition brews.

FYI - The Artic Ale had a final selling price of just over half a million USD!

 

I've had to pay $9 a bottle for miller ligth in NYC... only had a couple

 

$5 for a huge cup at a concert is the highest I've gone and don't plan on going higher.

 

I've paid $22 for a bottle at a bar. But the most I've ever paid was $125 for a bottle of Sam Adams Utopia several years ago...was a very interesting beer. Almost didn't taste beer'ish

 

i have a friend of a friend. he is hardcore beer drinker. he pays up to 225 per bottle.
