Default I fed the beast outside my house...

Okay, there are a lot of spiders outside my house, and this one particular spider is very very big! I tried to tell people how big it was, but the assumed I was exaggerating.

So I got some friends together, and found a grasshopper, which I fed to the spider.

I got it all on video!

(There are 3 different videos at different times - the first is the start of the feeding, the second is a continuation, and the 3rd is the spider sucking the juices out of the grasshopper 30 minutes later.

Enjoy!

Thats hillarious. That spider is huge. In biology we go outside and me and my friends found this huge writing spider and tried to feed it to my teachers fish. It bit 2 of the fish, killed them but the biggest fish ended up eating the spider.

Yea, I hate spiders too! I was nervous just recording it! I had no problem grabbing the grasshopper and feeding the spider, but seeing how big and fat the spider was.... uugggghhh!!

BUT...... the only thing I hate more than spiders..... cockroaches!! aaaaaaahhhhhh!!! LOL!

Ugh. I'm gonna be feeling creepy crawlies all night.

Now that it has been cooling off a bit at night I have been seeing more spiders in the house. I leave them alone if I see them in their habitat, but if they come into my habitat they get flushed.

Okay, I need to take more pics. I probably should stop feeding it, but it is now double in size (no joke!!).

I have already fed it 2 grasshoppers, and it keeps wanting more!

This is cool though... my friend flicks his cigarette ash on the spiders web, and the spider rushes towards it, spins the ash in a web, and flicks it off (yes, it actually picks it up, and flicks it off). Its so funny!

I'll make a video soon.

Was it one of these guys?
There's TONS of these out now. Especially by the lakefront. Navy Pier tends to get swarmed with these bigass spiders. It's pretty creepy seeing them inside popcorn machines...

It looks similar to this, not as orange though.

I remember I test drove an RX-8 when they first came out, and this one was so fresh from Japan, it had 3 huge moths inside (they were dead though)!

Here's a pic of a spider that was hanging low and I almost walked into when I was in Japan.

I put a dollar behind it so you can see how big it was.

You should check out the goliath birdeating tarantula. They have them on sale for about $80. Gets up to a foot with 1 inch fangs. I almost bought one but I currently have a boring Chilean Rose Hair...

Here's a new pic of the same spider. I should probably stop feeding it. It's getting too big!
