search around for some progs that allow you to do it. there is a plug in for winamp that allows you to reimportall your music back to your hard disk.

thats odd tho... iono why it would erase all your stuff in the first place.

no its cuz i was doing a reboot at the time on my hp, and and when ive done reboots in the past it always saves the user settings, so basically all i would do was install like microsoft office and my webcam,

but this time during my reboot, the power went out, and therefore while i was rebooting and the files where being saved, because the power went out while this was going on it whiped my pc clean of anything i had, like my songs, and even my photoshop program

I thought there was an option to import from your ipod? I was lookin at it last night, in itunes, along the "File" menu i think. You might give that a shot. If it asks you to synch first, "Just say no to drugs"
....i mean, just say no..

this ha shappend to me what you do is go to ipod options on itunes and uncheck sync with library.
and when you reinstall you ipod itll give you a box that has the option to keep songs on your ipod or sync with the library

Google "Ipodrip" it cost money to keep but has a free trial. That should do what you want. If you have a friend with a MAC you can use "Senuti" for free it will also do what you want to do.

It means everything on your ipod is the same as everything in your itunes library.

it will erase all the musci from my ipod but transfer into my library, cuz right now i have no music on my pc, so if i do this and it syncs with what on my pc and i have nothing on my pc, then i wouldnt have any music at all

That's weird. My suggestion is to reinstall itunes and see if that solves it. If not like I said in earlier post try IPODRIP it has a free trial period so it wont cost anything, or if you know someone with a MAC use SENUTI which is free, to get your music back.
