impacted wisdom
ok so 2 weeks ago I woke up with my jaw hurting. I thought it was cos I was grinding my teeth at night from stress. Then I find out that my gum is so swollen i can close my mouth and i can't open my jaw either, just enough to talk.
So I get on penicillin and the swelling went down and i could open my jaw again so I get my wisdoms out thinking that's what was causing this jaw/gum issue.
So surgery was friday and the antibiotics finished on monday.
Monday all clear, tuesday all clear.
Wednesday, gum starts swelling up again in the same spot. Today, I can't open jaw.
I'm so f*kin mad and scared. WTF i took my teeth out why am i having the same issues as before? I can't live on penicillin forever.
Tomorrow i have the doc app. and he's a f*kin a$$hole who will say, oh it's normal.

well my worse day was a few days after the surgery... the only day i swelled up was i think the 4th day. Remember, you still have open wounds... in fact i still have dents in my mouth until the gum grows back in that place.
So I don't have insurance ha ha ha...I think im going to mexico to have my wisdom teeth done. lol. It's like 60% cheaper. And check out this video...

the reason why im nervous is that the same thing is happening that happened BEFORE the surgery. So this is not because of the surgery. It is something else.
And I bet the doc will not even listen to me and say "oh it's normal after surgery"
I understand that...but i had this before too so it's something else.
don't worry so much about it right now. you're still healing. i understand how you feel. my recovery after the extraction took way longer than i thought it would, and by the 6th day i couldn't take it anymore. just feeling so weak gets so old after a while.
if you are unsure, always call the oral surgeon... or any oral surgeon and speak with a nurse and tell them your situation. I am sure many would be more than happy to answer any and all questions you may have.
i could give you the number of the place i went, but i am sure it is extremely long distance! haha

these are some of the reviews of him...I wish I would have searched before hand...
"When he met me conversation was to a minimal, he asked me short questions, would not even smile. He would give me the smallest explanation as of why both upper and lower wisdom teeth should be pulled even though only the lower was impacted. He did not explain that the anesthesia will be a lot painful than usual. I had a feeling he was taking out his anger on me. In addition, the upper anesthesia was not done properly so when he went to pull the upper tooth, I jumped and he screamed at me. After he was done, he left without even saying a word."
"This dentist was brusque and unprofessional before and during my surgery. I went in for impacted wisdom tooth extraction, and when I informed him that the sedation hadn't taken effect (I think he didn't even hit a vein for the injection of sedation meds) he told me to be quiet and close my eyes."

He's extremely rude and an a$$hole, I'm sure he will brush me off just so he doesn't have to see me anymore cos God forbid I was tearing up from the pain.
=/
I'll def. have to get a second opinion but at least the stitches r coming off
