im thinking about getting one, since i dont even own a phone right now.. but im not gonna wait inline, dont think itll be that big if it like they first came out, plus im not standing in line for a phone that doesnt cook me breakfast :p

An Apple salesman showed me the features of the iPhone a few months back. He tried to tilt the iPhone and say that the images rotate as you rotate the phone, but it never happened. He tried for 5 minutes and nothing. It was quite hilarious.

For the most part its the same as a regular iPhone with a few new features, which I heard that you can get those features in the old iPhone with an update. I want one too, but not willing to wait in line for one.

they only offer the 16GB at $299 w/ 2year or $499 w/ early upgrade

Actually it's confirmed you can get it without a plan. It's like $499 for the 8gig and $599 for the 16gig. I read it on CNET.

it didnt say anything about no contract

yeah but that does not mean anything accept you can get a $499 early upgrade
