All I have to say is that Italian food in the US is a joke in comparison to Italy. There are way too many hormones, preservatives, and crap in our food here in the US. It will never taste as good. Olive Garden is alright as long as you know what you are getting... not real Italian food.

BTW: I'm 1st generation.

Now isn't that the "obvious" statement of the day...

It may be "obvious" to you, but 95% of Americans think they are eating really good Italian food when they go to Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. That is just sad. And what is more sad is that I've had better Italian food in other countries like Mexico & Japan than in the US.

Man, I really need to plan a trip back to Italy.

Actually, I think it's more like 40% of Americans think they are eating really good Italian food. However, if you were to make a statement like "Italian Food in ITALY taste a lot better than Italian food in America", I don't think you would find a single American to disagree with that statement. Hence the "it's not Rocket Science to figure that out" comment I made before.

I asked Misti about the name "Claudia" for a girl. She replied...."it's sounds to old", I think I'll have to agree with her on that one....Then again, she is the mother of my soon to be child, so can I really argue with her about it...

You Italians know what "una fatsa, una ratza means"?

Well, I 'll make it simple; it means "one face, one race".
It is used t describe the special relationship between the Italians and the Greeks. They go back since the ancient times.
I am 100% Greek and raised there, so I guess I can call you distant cousins!

chao
