Default keep old people out of cars

this old foagie hit me....
i was pulling out of a spot.. and he just comes right into the spot next to me... his front hits me door and fender... and it's the size of a soda can... i got his paint on my car... but then his bumper got scuffed... then i thought i would just be nice... skip all the trouble.. cuz i had to be somewhere and he's like blaming me... and then he gets the estimate and it's $380 for a little paint on the front bumper?!? i'm about to give this old man a visit... and it's gonna be $38000 in damage... what a punk.. i put some polish on my door and fender and alot of it came off... i'm ____ed...

maybe it was my fault.. i dunno... i dont think it is.. cuz if someone is coming out of a door.. you let that person out first then you go in right? so should parking spots... and i prolly can't take this guy to court or anything cuz he works for some firm... and just cuz im young they'll prolly nail my ****.

any suggestions or advice?

its his fault

even if i pull out in front of you in a parking lot and you nail me it will be your fault

it will come down to "you must always be in control of your car at all times"

i got hit in the rear and slid into the car in front of me from this jerk nailing me and it was my fault that i hit the car in front

kinda crappy but thats just how it is

to be honest if the accident happened in on private property (shopping center walmart, the mall etc......)so you shouldn't have to pay to fix his car. (in texas that is) call the local PD and ask them the rules about that.

from your description of what happened, i can't visualize what occurred so i won't offer an informed opinion about fault. however, from your written threat to his property i can offer the opinion that whether or not it was your fault or his, vandalism is not an appropriate response and will merely compound the problem.

maybe you could try and explain again what happened including which direction you were pulling out and into which spot he was attempting to park.

When I had my old car one time I was waiting for someone to back out of a parking spot and some old guy backs up right into my car. He gets out and asks me why I was there. lol

Did you look when you started pulling out? B/c it's possible that if you were backing out when he had already started pulling in, you actually hit HIM.

Either way, it doesn't sound like an "old people" thing... just one of you not paying attention - especially when you said that it could even be your fault.
