Okay I got into a discussion yesterday that lasted about 3 hrs with a friend about the Kia Soul and he is looking into it more than the Cube and 2nd Gen xB. What are your thoughts about it and especially can you picture yourself pickin one up if you had the means to or would consider it? Me personally, the car has hopes and a catchy commerical with the hampsters.

LOL! Yeah my friend was like its cheaper and he can negoitiate the price is what he loved. He likes the game. LOL. Which leads me to a 2nd question Scion related. To those with a 1st gen xB, xA, or tC even. If Scion offered a lease program or be able to negotiate the sticker cost, would you or your family member or friend trade their car for a Scion or another Scion?
Kia Sould-warranty, 6yr-50,000 miles transferable so more than the other cars anyway.
Took photos of it next to my 1st gen-almost exactly the same size.
All these squarish new cars are missing something that the 1st gen had-can't quite put my finger on it-it's like they are trying too hard to be 'funky'
Hamster commercial awesome, the green color they come in is cool, Hyundai/Kia have gained a very good reputation and after being a part time driver and mechanic of a 2006 Sonata for the last 2 years I would recommend these cars (although the front brakes are a bit weird to put new pads on)
I would buy a 2nd gen xb>scion xd>Kia soul>Honda Fit (although I am sick to death of Hondas-so rip the badges off all parts of it)>Nissan Cube (love Nissans-just not the looks of the US spec cube)

Saw a couple of them at the NY auto show... really not awful - for a Kia. I don't think I'd bring myself to actually buy one (nearest Kia dealer is more than an hour away anyway). But of course the interior is pretty cheap, build quality looks OK, no idea how it drives.
Nissan wouldn't even open up a Cube for people. They had like 3 of them there but no one could get in any of them. It was pretty lame. They don't really do it for me anyway.

Cerritos Kia actually came out to one of our meetings with it to see what we had to say. Shot film and crap. They're really trying to challenge Scion specifically and tap into the Scion demographic. They kept asking us about how you would modify it, why modify it, etc etc.
Bottom line is that it's a Kia....no matter how you look at it.
It's kinda like they Hyundai Genesis. I'd only buy one if I had money to waste.
