Stu....according to your joke's premise, some nondescipt guy getting free money went into a welfare office and said he had a spiritual problem getting that free money and really wanted a job. He was then chastised for doing so.

He was jokingly offered the "job of jobs" then the rug was pulled out from under him because in your joke "anyone" on public assistance would not be truly looking for work.

I'm surprised at you because this is an old joke except there were racial profiles in it originally.

You neglected to add that he was either an african-american, irish, or a person of mexican descent...

the joke is only funny when the heritage is mentioned because not everyone on public assistance is lying when they say they are trying to find a job, just the mexicans, blacks and irish apparently.
