I'm a Type 1 Diabetic, when I want to talk about that I go to http://community.diabetes.org/n/foru...ebtag=adaindex ..
I wouldn't expect people that aren't going through what I am to understand or gave a damn . cause honestly if I wasn't Diabetic I wouldn't care either. I know its a messed up way to think,. but thats how most people think.
but the thing is i'm not asking them to give up anything. even 5 dollars will help. even 1 dollar would help, if it was successful like i thought it was going to be. 100 people each giving 1 dollar would've been good still, but since no one seems to care. it's all in god's hands and knowing how all those immature kids are, those are the kids that make fun of the people with disorders.. shame on them..
You said it your self Kids. most of the people on car forums are kids. You really should go to a web site that deals with people that have illnesses. You will get far better support on one of those. You can't get upset and write back the way you are to them. it just add more fuel to the fire. If those guys post on that site everyday. and you don't they will flame on you on a post like that.
I do hope you get the help you are looking for your cousin

sad thing is most people wont help. at the same time you shouldn't think anyone would help. epically now, people are going through hard times. I know your cousin an her parents have it really bad. But just cause someone doesn't talking about it on a car site doesn't me they don't have hard times of there own.

Have you every thought of writing a letters to major companies and asking the for their help . or even Oprah.. she helps everyone.

we are currently writing to oprah already and we already have sponsorships with a few places, even oakley. if you guys take time and look at the site the father of my cousin is actually going to bike from california to the east coast to raise awareness. it's already in the newspaper here in orange county, but it seems like no one wants to help, it's very unfortunate, but i hope someone finds it in they're heart to even donate a little bit.

welcome to the age of kids and people who just post a comment about something and not give a care.

umm for most car forums are where people only really want to talk about fun stuff and cars. they do not want to deal with the effects of any disease what so ever. the car forums are a break from reality of lifes up and downs. you really have to know this.

if you want to start a car show or something locally. heck give that a try. i am sure you can see buisnesses that would love to donate stuff. heck in seattle. one of the members of scionlife is hosting an event for heart and hammers.

You know abslutely nothing about what you are talking about. Just because someone has money for MODS doesnt mean they have money to help everyone out.

I know, I am in the same boat, trying to raise money for a cause. I have over $17,000 in mods on my car, but at the moment cant help others out, because I need help myself. People look at my car and IMMEDIATLY assume I have money, when this isnt the case. My mods came overtime, and from ALOT of saving.

But to say that just because I can spend $2000, $20 isnt anything to me is a horrible statement. Maybe the reason people can spend $2000 is because $20 IS SOMETHING TO THEM!!!

I am all about donating to causes, I donate out of my paycheck each month to various causes, but on a military salary, I am broke.

Oh and about the other forums flaiming you, its because you went about it the wrong way. You cant just randomly go and ask forums for help. You obviously dont own a Subie, or EVO, so those forums isnt where you should be asking for help.
I have a help page of my own, www.helpafaimlyadopt.com and I can assure you I would never go into forums and post about it unless I am well regaurded on them. Asking absolute strangers for help will rarely get you anywhere. Now asking a community you are a part of will, I raised nearly $1900 from Scion owners, but then again, I am known amongst the Scion community. If I asked STI owners, I would get flammed, rightfully so.

So to sum it up, its not subie and EVO owners being Dicks, its them protecting their ground from outside spamming.

And after looking at the website of yours, you need to realize something else. ITS A NON PERSONAL SITE.

Its not like your cousin is sick and needs a few grand to help the family out, its a website to cure a disease, we are talking MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of dollars. So you posting ont heir forums is spamming for a big corporation, not helping your personal cause.

right
And your responses to people show exactly why you are flammed in the first place. You are unable to articulate anything, and immediatly go into defensive mode or fighting mode. NO ONE IS GOING TO SUPPORT SOMEONE LIKE THAT! Explain yourself, explain your cause instead of posting ONE sentence and a link asking for money, and you might get somewhere.

Again, even after me typing everything out and explaining myself, you IGNORE it all and jump right into your own little pity party about people being INhumane .

And no that is not what you did. Below is your first post on Evolutionm. :

Please help my cousin, Mikyla. She was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. This is to support someone who is very close in finding a cure to reverse the Syndrome. Please, take time out of your lives to realize what you've taken for granted, and all the money spent on cars, a little bit of it can go to help a great cause.
You didnt explain who you are, where your from, what your doing, where the money goes, how it helps her, how much you need.

You only give a name of the person, what she was diagnosed with, THEN YOU KILL IT ALL. BY TELLING THEM THEY TAKE STUFF FOR GRANTED!!!!AND THEN ATTACK HOW MUCH THEY SPENT ON THEIR CARS!!!
You dont ask people for help then accuse them of taking their lives for granted by spending money on cars.

If you care so much about the cause and she is so close to a cure (which I doubt because her diesease is WORLD spread), then sell you car (like I am doing) to help the cause.

Your mistake is your delivery, your wording and lack of compasion in your responses. The way you type and convey thoughts will lead to your final cause. I can link you to my threads on a dozen or so websites where I am receiving help, and I can guarantee you, I NEVER BASH ON THOSE I AM ASKING FOR HELP!! If someone disagrees, I discuss it, so I can figure out why they disagree. I dont bash them and call them names like YOU do.
I dont have sarcastic remarks to their criticism LIKE YOU DID TO ME, with your RIGHT comment.

Take a second and read what I post, you might learn something.

See, there you go again, I can guarantee you no one on this site will support you now because of your negative attitude. Who wants to give their hard earned money to an aggressive quiter who cant face a subject and figure it out?

Hey kid. no one on this site is putting YOU down, Just the way you represent your self on a post, It shows your age, at 19 you have a lot to learn. If you replay to someone giving good advise in a negative way your just going to have people turn their backs on you . And don't forget no one has to help you or your cousin. if they do its cause they want to. so don't push those people away by being an a hole.

After finding out you smoke, I refuse to help. That's thousands of your own money that you could have donated, but instead, you opted to kill yourself with it.

Assuming that you smoke? No. I have proof of that one already. Assuming how much you donated? It doesn't matter, because it's still that much LESS because of how much you're wasting on cigs. If it was THAT important to you, you wouldn't be blowing away thousands on that crap, nor would you have invested in at least $10,000 into your car.

So keep saying you've had enough, because you bring it upon yourself. All you had to do, was post it up on EvoM and forget about it, but instead you tried to ____ on the fire, and just got ____ed on. If you haven't noticed, but you've run into the same issue in 3 locations, with 3 different groups of people. Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, you're doing it wrong?

i haven't spent thousands on cigs fyi. and if you were reading the posts earlier from nick06tc i didn't spend thousands at once, it was over time, and if i didn't owe on my car, i would sell it to donate, i've sold many things for this cause. she was diagnosed last january and we have been going everywhere to find information on it, i've finally turned to my interests in cars to get people involved, but that was my mistake. Also i have a show coming up that's going to be donated to her, so a lot of people are helping me, a lot of people in the socal area are vouching for me, i have 4 different clubs that are donating. so please stop.
