Default Mad Props to Scion, SAFE CAR

I just got out of the hospital and let me say it was my fault. I did highway racing with my Scion TC against a charger srt8. I blew a tire when I was already pinning the accelerator. I am not only alive but I did not break any bones. I received bruised ribs, a mild concussion, minor chest contusion, whiplash, bumps and bruises. My TC Chassis split from hitting 2 walls at 125mph. If I can get pictures from the impound I would but I was not allowed to take any snaps. I can't believe I came out okay and that my little import took an impact like that and did not crumble. Thank you too anyone who pulled my body out of the car. I can't remember how I got out and how I got to the hospital but thanks anyways.

Nobody else. I only race alone not with friends. I took out a lambo in traffic on the BQE before so it's kinda like if I'm alone and someone messes with me I will give chase. The cool thing is the driver of the SRT8 pulled over and pulled my body out of the car with the help of other bystanders. when the cops showed up he said he saw the whole thing and that I must've fallen asleep at the wheel.

okay...so what if anything have you learned?

also, you better hope that the police don't have your crash investigated because they can examine the scene and how fast you were going, hell, they can have toyota read the cars ECU, which will tell them what the car was doing when the air bags deployed.

there is absolutely no chance the police will believe that you "fell asleep" and started going 120+ mph.

so who wants to call the police in queens new york and have them look into this for our friend here?

The ECU is toast. I was at the impound and I saw the harness wires leading to a crushed box. The engine pushed down and back and crushed the fuse box and other components. I hope they do not investigate this. So far no report. but I have 4 pending tickets 30+ over. I have learned to save it for the track. I almost died this morning, thats what everyone has told me and I did not. So imma hang my hospital bracelet with my scion key attached to it on my rearview mirror of my next car as a reminder to not be and idiot

The frame cracked on the other side of the car you can see the engine bay is not attached any more. the body is snapped and twisted. It was not meant that the car would survive it was made so that the driver would survive. These salesmen and SCION VIP show explained that the design was to take the impact. and not to let the driver take the impact.

that ecu is like a black box recorder, but it only saves information once the air bags go off.

don't know how well shielded it is, but i'm guessing if toyota built it with the idea of recovering real life crash data, it should be pretty resilient.

i seriously hope you learned your lesson dude. what chance do you really have racing a car with 425 bhp. unless you have a good turbo set up, there is nothing you're going to do to keep up with him.

I was hoping that since it was on the highway and not a Dig that I can take him because im alot lighter. I was bump drafting him and tried to pass him on a turn when I blew the tire. the entire tire is missing now.

Imma do some soul searching. I just found out one of my old boys from ny who moved to PA wrecked on the same week. He did not make it. His cobra svt flipped, rolled and exploded. He leaves behind a wife and kids. Kinda doesnt make sense. I have no wife and kids and I came out relatively well. He never had a chance, I saw the pics, I couldn't even tell what I was looking at. It's just crazy isn't it.

Seriously, why would you bother racing an SRT8? He was probably laughing at you, till you crashed.

Id second the motion of your soul searching. Especially before you're able to afford a fast car. The reason you survived and your friend didnt is because you were driving a slow vehicle.

Please buy something with 4 doors and a 4cyl motor for your next car.

Sounds like the tC is messing with mother nature. The stupid/ weak are supposed to be killed off to further the species. Now there is a 50/50 chance you will reproduce plaguing humanity for generations.

I want to say I'm glad you're OK but it really doesn't sound like you learned your lesson yet. Most normal people would have learned to slow the hell down after the FOUR tickets at 30+ over.

STOP MAKING MY DAMN INSURANCE GO UP!
