I hate people that aren't willing to listen to a different point of view that someone has... Seems like there are a lot of close minded people when it comes to politics...everyone has to be right with which ever side they feel is right...With todays economy, it doesn't matter who wins this election. They will be remember as the person who was president either during a resession or a depression...but that's just my opinion....

If you haven't voted yet (in the actual election, not this poll), check out

http://www.ontheissues.org

It is a non-partisan site that profiles the candidates based on their voting records and speech transcripts. You may even find little things you didn't know about the candidates since they don't get press coverage, like Palin's stance on long-term medical care

Home-based assistance more cost-effective than institutions. (Nov 2006)

my wife had to be in a nursing home for a few months at 26, it is an aweful place. She is now on home-based care.

or that Biden was a single parent at one time and

Fought for Family and Medical Leave, up to 12 unpaid weeks. (Sep 2007)

Just voted in this poll (10-31) but actually sent in my REAL ballots a while back (10-17).

Felt good to get it over with and not have to pay attention anymore.

So far the vote here on Sl looks to be going as I would expect. :D

Me too. Voted last week. Now all that's left to do is to watch the rest of the train-wreck or rocket launch, depending on your own views, take place.

EVERYBODY SHOULD VOTE!!!!

OK, the originator of this topic set the standard for this topic.

That this is in the Off-Topic Cafe forum does NOT mean that you can just run loose and do anything you want, it just means that the primary focus of topics here is not Scions.

The originator asked very nicely and politely that you folks NOT take this off topic, or start stumping for your candidates or arguing with others here, so don't!

Thanks.

It's pretty offensive to have my political beliefs belittled like that. It's sad that you feel comfortable saying such a thing.

Get over it girl, I'm simply just stating how I feel about the many young people who seem to be soooo clueless about what they are voting for. Don't be so offended. I say what I feel and I mean what I say, nothing wrong with that.

Of course... I'm not gonna get into any political arguement in this tread soo like what was said before - get over it.

You're not the only one allowed to say what they feel and mean what they say. You said something offensive to me and I'm allowed to voice what I feel. Nothing wrong with that, either. Take your own advice about getting over stuff before lecturing others on the topic.

I'm annoyed with all the "Kool-Aid" and "Brainwashed" comments in regard to the young democratic vote and/or the democratic vote in general. Those types of comments are a lot further on the offending comment list than "many young people who seem to be soooo clueless about what they're voting for" like you said in your second post.

I'm quite proud to see all the younger voters take interest in this election. I'm proud to see people of all ages take interest in this election, actually. It's sad to see the uniformed voters on BOTH sides of the fence.

You might be surprised at how astute the"brainwashed Youth" are these days!! I think they are more knowledgeable than some people may give them credit for!

Keep the debate out of here... there must be 5 other debate threads here in OT.
