How about the Wii which plays the entire catalog from the Gamecube? And I still play old games on my PS2. Deception 3 is one of the best games I have ever played. I will play it until the disc finally wears out.

and as far as the Wii, i didnt like much from gamecube. but if there was a way to play games from SNES then i'd understand. Tecmo SuperBowl is by far the best football game EVER!!!

@spECIal: The Wii is going to have the download channel or whatever its called. You can DL titles from NES - N64 an play them on the Wii.

 

^^ well... the article basically talks about people that were trying to make a quick buck failed miserably in japan.. (hope they learned their lesson....)

but in the USA... obviously that's not the case... and i have no intention on buying a ps3 thru an auction.... i'm not too hyped up to get the ps3 early on or when it's released...

such BS that the xbox 360 went thru with ebay and stuff... i'm glad paypal and ebay are taking necessary precautions from scammers for the Wii and PS3... but it doesn't excuse the fact that people are legitimately stocking up on consoles just to sell them for more money.

taking away the chances of people buying them properly.

 

This is why I would love to have the big 3 video game companies set up a system that requires you to register when you pre-order a console. Somehow use a drivers license or SSN or something to restrict it to 1 per person.

 

I am SOOOO up for the ps3, cannot wait to play grand turismo on HD. Also unreal looks killer for the ps3. Also going to pick up the wii for the old school games! That feature ROCKS being able to download snes / super nintendo and nintendo 64 games!

I agree. As much as I know i can make off one of the systems I feel bad to do it. Its almost like stealing from some little kid.

But I'll be picking up a Wii this weekend! Already have it pre-ordered and payed for :-)

 

But why not. its like not your forcing themt to buy it. If they actually bid on it, obviously they're rich enuf to afford it. Nobody said they just have to buy it now, if they want to save a few bucks, wait a month or two. Personally, i dont think i have the slightest chance in getting a ps3 anytime soon, but i mite go ahead and get wii, looking forward to the new Zelda.

West Bend - One person was injured early this morning outside the Wal-Mart department store in West Bend when a crowd of about 50 people congregated outside the store for a chance to buy one of 10 coveted video game systems the store has for sale.

Police have provided details of the incident late this morning:

An assistant store manager announced to the crowd, which had formed about 7 a.m., that the store expected to receive only 10 of the Sony Playstation 3 game consoles, and that they would become available at 12:01 a.m. Friday.

The store official placed 10 chairs outside of the store, and directed the waiting customers to another area. At a signal, the customers were told to run to try to occupy one of the chairs. During the contest, a 19-year-old man ran into a pole and struck his head, injuring himself. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said the case was one of helping an injured person, and was not the subject of any criminal investigation.

 

Then Im a bastard. I will be leaving work to claim my PS3 preorder first thing tomorrow morning and then ebay here I come. I have zero interest in getting a PS3 to play with. Yeah Im sure its great and all but its WAY too expensive. I will be picking up a Wii on sunday but thats for me. I really cant wait to have the Wii. The PS3 is just a money thing...

lol people are so retarded when it comes to new game systems. I just looked on E-Bay and found 2 PS3 auctions that just ended. 1 Of them went for $7500!!!! and another one went for $5000!!! How crazy is that?!?!?

Sold an xbox 360 bundle on ebay for $1200 when it was released. I didn't feel guilty because whoever would buy something like that for that much has money. Simple business investment. So when i sell stocks next quarter i should feel guilty for making profitable business decisions?

You know you could have posted your pre-order on ebay. You don't have to wait til' you have it. Biggest jump up on bidding on my 360 was the day it was released. People can't find it anywhere, log online and lookie here, one on ebay, BID! BID!

 

... .... people who actually want to buy one and aren't rich have to wait months until they're back in stores because of you people..

screw it.. i think i like the Wii better anyway..
