I didn't know that....but that's too bad, and I see what you mean by more gritty....

Anyone like Foo Fighters?? Their new CD sucks butthole(disc1).... but I like the all Acoustic CD 2... That stuff rocks.... But I really don't like Daves voice in stressed vocals (best of you).. sounds like he's gargling when he sings...

 

I actually liked the new album, and I'm a huge Foo Fighters fan. I have a decent music collection (45 gigs or so) and have a pretty wide range of tastes in music, from Bethoveen to Dido to Jay-Z to Matisyahu to Mindless Self Indulgence to Bane. Just not a huge country fan, but I like rockish country (the Old 97's / Lucero)

ah! yeah there has been some cool rock coming from the east lately. The Pillows are one of my favorite groups from overseas...if you guys have ever seen FLCL it's the band that does the music for that show. There's a few others, but I can't really think of any of the names at the moment...

i liked them better the first time around....when they were called "RUSH"....opps, my bad...i hated them then too.

 

Yeah, except I've always thought that the lead singer from rush sounded like he just got kicked in the nuts. He was the one reason I always hated them...I thing coheed's singer can come off to people like that too, but I like him better

with coheed, you either really like them or don't...there isn't really an inbetween. Unless you count really liking their albums but absolutely hating them live? haha

 

Like I said, I liked that Acoustic rock clip on MTV.... but the singer annoyed me in the songs I DL'ed

Sorry for reviving this old thread, but I'm so impressed with a band mentioned above! I just saw my fourth 30 Seconds To Mars show on 8/30/2006 in NYC. They were freakin' amazing!!
