How long have you been together? How serious are you two? Looking for something sentimental or something useful? Price range?

Take her to dinner and/or a hockey game, give her flowers and candy. It's not entirely original, but you've only been together for 3 mos.

Under no circumstances should you go down the lingerie route. Steer clear of that, move toward the aformentioned, and you'll be just fine. V-Day is more about navigating landmines than wooing and romance.

Couple good points and a few that made me laugh as I remember bieng 17. The thing is at this age is that soemthing with a little bit of thought behind it will woo the heck out of her. Now when your older it gets harder because they have had alot of other v days in their past to compare it too....hence the "avoid land mines" sooo funny.

Anyway, one time for my girlfriends birthday when I was 18 I took her to a hockey game...she too loved hockey. i arranged to have the teams mascot bring her a dozen rozes between periods.....we were sitting in the front row. Let me just tell you ...the pints I scored for that one.....I pity the men that had to follow me...

Keep in mind, if you plan on being with her for a while (which it sounds like you do) there's a BD comming up, followed by Christmas, and then all starts over again. Pace yourself. She'll expect you to out do yourself each gift giving occasion. Oh, and then of course the endless list of anniverseries that teen girls have, plus the real one for when yall first started dating. So, take it easy this first go 'round.

Yeah here's a breakdown of the annicerasries in her head.

The first time you spoke to her
The first time you asked her out
The first time you held her hand
The first time you kissed her
The first time you took her to dinner (and where it was)
The first time held her hand
The first time you introduced her to your best friend
The first time she slept with your best friend...oh...oops...let's hope not

Anyway you can see where I am going here right.....the list keeps going and going!

Oh, and then there's the alternate strategy of breaking up right before the gift giving occassion, and then getting back together a couple weeks later.

haha ya no kidding my bf didn't get me anything for vday last year, and we have been goin out for 2 years, and we live together. And I got him something! But i didn't care that much, it's kind of a lame holiday, especially when you share money lol.
Even if it is just 3 months though, sometimes 3 months can feel like forever. You could get her jewelry.

Dump them so you don't have to buy them anything. Then get back together the day after V-day for makeup sex.

I hate fake holidays. Stupid holiday hijackers...
