stick stick stick. We've had enough AT's over the years, the wife thought it was time for some fun again... and for pure fun running around, we wanted the manual. No regrets ( plus other ride has an AT in case one of us gets lazy ).
I would always recommend a stick to a young driver if they can be taught properly--best to learn at an early age, then decide if you like it or not. My daughter has a manual--luvs it and has no interest in going AT

Choose automatic, very satisfied, I would buy it again for what I am using it for. They both have their own benefits and draw backs...

This topic is like asking whether to choose a Mac or a PC. Who the hell cares? Each (as stated above) has it's purpose.
Use what works for you.
Don't diss those that choose otherwise.

i chose a pc, since it's....... wait, wrong thread....jk

both trans will work just fine, for us we just wanted to get back to "rowing" the gears for awhile. After driving for some 28 years, i've spent enough time with both. Heck, most of my muscle cars had AT's...

my xB is a auto and my tC is a stick. Just made more sense to get the xB in auto cuz its not a performance car and i enjoy cruising around in it....the tC is much more about performance than the xB and its a sporty coupe, so i decided to get a manual...i sometimes mess up when driving my xB cuz i forget there is no clutch..lol
