New buyer 2012 tc and tuning learning. Any advice
I have just bought a scion tc 2012.
Ive been trying to learn about the motor but im not
one who comes from auto background. Sad to say basically new to the auto world. Can i get any advice ?? Im jus trying to get to know the main components of the motor that i need to focus on tuning. I know nothing when it comes to doing all the electrical/computer tuning. Just kinda beed a mentor so i can get started on my tc. I kno the basics of the enigine i just want to learn the performance part of the engine to learn how to tune. Plz any advice helps!!!

Listen, we'll be your mentor, but you can't just "tune" your car. What kind of tuning are you asking? Do you just mean bolting up a new intake or something? Or do you mean adjusting air/fuel and ignition? What I need you to do is start searching for stuff and questions, that way you can come back here and have a more direct educated question instead of such a vague question. Go search around for parts and brands and installation diys and then come back here.

Do you know a website that is legit in performance parts that incould look at? The only one i have found that seems the most legit and has stuff for scion tc is autopartswarehouse.com theres a few others but parts are universal and have to be sized to fit. Any websites i could browse around on? That maybe you use. I kno for sure im going to be putting cold air intake and lowering springs. That will be a start

so why does noone ever talk about 2012+ models?
It seems as if everyone like the older models..
Is there a reason for this ? jw cuz mines 2012 and i cant even find like led lights for a 2012 the closest i can get is 2011

Okay first off. Start here:
fastscions.com
dezod.com
ptuning.com
Second, you are not reading correctly. Everything is generation based. The second generation began at 2011, so everything they reference will be 2011+. Same with the first generation. If I were too look at something for a 2010, I would find 2005+. Same goes for you. All 2011 stuff works for your 2012.
And also, stay away from that autopartswarehouse crap or univeral crap. You must not be very good at Google. Type in whatever part you are looking for and then your car and you'll find the stuff. For instance: 2012 Scion tC Lowering springs
And a bunch of stuff will come up. Go to the three websites I told you, and search around on those and get used to prices, brands, and specs and uses, then come back and ask questions.
