New to Digital Video Camcorders...few questions.
My son's B-Day is in two weeks and he would love nothing more than to have a Digital Camcorder. Based on prices & features, I decided to get him a Sony DCR-HC28. It's a mini DV (tape) format. It doesn't come with a Firewire cable, but I'll buy one before his B-day. On our PC at home, we have a DVD burner and a Firewire port. What else will he need to transfer the video from the tape to the PC so he can edit it and burn it to a DVD? Any specific software required? Any of it free?
