The New Knight Rider....very dissapointed.
I only saw the first 10 or 15 minutes of it last night, but what a piece of crap! Okay...I'm biased. I was a teen in the '80s when the original series ran. It wasn't great either but at least you could let a kid see it. It was a show about a really cool talking car. Of course kids wanted to see it. But this new series looks like pure trash. In the first 10 minutes I saw a guy in bed with two women, and a lesbian who just had sex with someone she just met. Even if I set my personal morals aside, the show still looked crappy. I mean how many cops do you know who can afford a house right on the beach? And the show looks like one giant Ford commercial. Nearly every car on the road (in the show) was a Ford. I recorded it on my DVR so I'll watch the rest later to see if it had any redeeming qualities. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

Dont even waste your time watching it later.....It sucked a$$....luckily I only had to watch the first hour until Braking Bad came on, on AMC for the second Hour.......Much better!
I may catch this show on a couple few nights...but i not be as dedicated to watch!

The show seemed way to dry...the acting sucked, the humor sucked....and like matt said it seemed like one long Ford commercial. Its not a big deal to me when an automaker jumps into movies or tv to promote their cars....but this was way too much....every chance they got, the camera focused on Ford emblems and model badges. I like how when they began to show the car...the Snake (Cobra) emblem was shinning bright and the SVT logo on the wheels.........Wait a minute....I thought SVT didnt have anything to do with the new Cobra?? Overall, I was dissapointed. I agree with matt on the manage-0-three scene and the lesbian scene.....it was pointless and was just dumb....

I agree with you guys with the whole 2 hour ford commercial we all went through. This new Knight rider was nothing like the old one. They could have at least introduced some of the functions of the car other than hacking into security cameras and an indestructible car that can repair itself. What happened to the "turbo boost", the "jumping ability", or when the car transform when it needs to go fast...

Yeah, the acting wasn't great and neither was the story line. And yes, it was a long Ford commercial. But, I didn't tune in to see all that. I wanted to see the car! I'm sorry, but the new KITT is pretty sweet. I dunno if I'll watch it or not, I would have to see it a couple of times before I decide that.

I agree that KITT should've had more of the spotlight, but I think that the new Knight Rider was just as hokey as the original version, only with more cleavage, which is never a bad idea. Besides, the new Knight Rider wasn't meant to be a re-make of the original, it is a continuation. I, too miss "Turbo Boost," and "Super Pursuit Mode," whose ground effects, winglets, and spoiler probably were the inspiration for some of the tacky Civics, Integras, and, sadly even some tC's that litter our streets today.

I didn't think it was TOO bad.....but I went in thinking it was going to be horrible. I agree with the 6.5/10, I'm sure ill watch it again, a lot of good shows start off bad.
And thats not the Cobra they use in the show, the wheels are different and the cobra in the show is NICE
