Default No SL at school anymore=wTF mangococonut

So im in highschool right, a senior and dont do anything all day. Im in laptop classes so I have my computer with me all day. They blocked scionlife. Im doomed for the last quarter. What a bunch of bull! Ill get a screen shot LOL. We (students) find new proxys all the time for myspace and what not but they get blocked within a day or two. I know someone is looking at what we go on, I am the only person at my school with a Scion, so I would be the only one on here.

ahhhhhhhh

end rant v1.0

I do have clubxb though....for the time being.

Yeah, I'm worried that they'll block it here too.

The proxy-blocking has gotten so bad at my high school that I had to host my own proxy (I just threw cgiproxy on a web hosting account).

Plus, my school uses GenevaLogic's Vision software so they can see what you're doing all the time. If they see you on MySpace they'll note the proxy site in the address bar and block it.

So what I do is:

Login to the computer
Pull out the network cable (so they can't see your screen)
Open web browser, type in proxy URL, then hide the address bar (in firefox, right click toolbar and uncheck navigation toolbar)
Hit Go, it'll say page can't be displayed...
Plug in cable
Hit F5 to reload and you'll get the proxy page without having the admins know what proxy you're using!

Thankfully I haven't had to do this yet for SL... works well for MySpace, Facebook, etc.

in my high school, we had a problem with pagers, anyone older than me and they had less technology wise.

probably not going to get a lot of sympathy.

Damn! That was Genius. That was a lot more than I did while I was in High School. All I had to do was go to altavista and translate the page. From English to English. I was a tech aid in 11th and 12th. So I always had access to the best pcs in school. Unless their was a class in the computer lab. Ahhh, Good times. I remember skipping my other class (Had Block Scheduling, went to vo-tech for other part of day) and playing Unreal Tournament with other tech aids across campus. We ate up bandwidth with our games, and constantly people would call us up complaining about slow internet speeds. We would be like
