Love site and hope all goes well for your work. I have shipped and and acceped just about every kind of dog out their from some of the best know breeders in the world and the only dogs that dont bark or wine or yell, or even seem hostel are the pure breed German Shepards from Germany and the Pit Bulls. I dont claim to be an expert but the proof is in the pudding and if I bought another dog it would be a Pit or German Shepard. In responce from the haters you encounter I could get on the internet and find bad stats on just about every dog out there, so just because you have heard bad things about one type of breed dont go out and hate on every one especialy some one who is devoting their lifes work to a cause they enjoy!

 

I think rotts and pits getting hated on by the media. they chose to report those stories. I agree there's so many dogs cases out there. Little dogs are actually more agressive, because they feel more threatened, IMO. I can't stand ankle biters, they get in the way, MOVE. LOL, I need a real dog.

Thanks, I just hate that dogs get a bad rap because of irresponsible people. The general public doesn't understand that these dogs are not natural born killers. True the pit was bred to fight, but they don't come out biting and attack everything. shoot my pit in san Diego, is lonely and sad not because the rott we had died. They're almost like people in some ways; they have emotions just as they can be taught to act a certain way.

 

I'm sure the dogs are great and all, but nobody likes SPAM, and that's exactly what this is. One posting in OT would have been fine, but it looks like you put it everywhere on the site, and that, by definition is SPAM. And SPAM, by definintion is hated and evil.

Then you compound issues with what is, right now in America, a minority opinion, and it may very well be true, but that's not the point right now. You might as well have posted about a site that advocates every American carry a side arm to deter crime (which it would).

 

You know, The sad thing is. When I first got my xB, us Scion owners always stuck together, now it seems like you are all bandwagoners and do not support fellow Scion owners hobbies. I am sorry that I posted it everywhere and my intension was not to SPAM, but just to put the word out on something I like. And if you didn't like Dog's or the site just don't say anything. I wouldn't of kept saying did you look? But all you people that are complaining must not have anything better to do but B!tch! I am a proud owner of 2 Scion xB's and have been since the beginning. So the people that want to complain please do it somewhere else. I just ask 1 simple question, if you wanted to do it, that was great and if you did not want to do it that is great too. I was not looking for an argument. Like I said before I am sory for posting this everywhere and it will not happen again, but please keep your negitive comments to yourself.

Yeah, but you did it like 5 times. That's where the SPAM comes in. One post, in OT, just once, would have been sufficient, and you would have then had a leg to stand on with your "I just want support" argument.

And that's why every board everywhere has anti-SPAM guidelines, because it brings the worst out in people.

 

That I understand. That is why I am apologizing about the multi posts. I should of posted it in the OT section and you are right. But the complaining went on from there. I just wish we could all just get along.

 

Oh we can.....but it would appear that pit bull discussion has entered the realm of guns, religion, and politics....it's just best not to discuss them with people who have a differing opinion. Sad but true.

 

Yeah, sad thing was, is all I wanted to do is have people to check out the site. Not to have a discussion about it. Once again it is people whom dedicate their lives around BAD MEDIA, that don't know the real truth, just what they hear from the Media that is giving this breed and other breeds a bad name. I see where you're coming from, but facts are facts. Pits can and do kill, but so can anyother dog. If he turns the cother cheek to that fact then it shows he's being bias, and that's not good when you're rying to sale or make a point. Anyone who's truly interested in a pit has probably already done the research or owned one before. They know they're not natural born killers, and those are the owners that deserve them. Not the ones that are going to fight or abuse them (i.e. amatur cropping of the ears).

But again I see your point.

 

Myth: It snows in Tucson. Does that mean that it snows every year? Every ten years? No, and though ALL Pit Bulls aren't mean, the majority are... Plain and simple.

Pit Bulls: Loyal? YES. People Friendly? NO. Protective? Absolutely. Trusting? Absolutely not.

Another guy that works here in Scion had an American Bulldog (not a Pit, but a Bull nonetheless). His two kids loved the dog. The dog was VERY protective yet always kind towards the family. Last week, he had to put the dog down because it tried to rip off his son's face. They were playing and the son pushed the dog. The dog bit him out of reaction and nothing else. The bull breads are vicious by nature and there is nothing you can do about it! All my dogs growing up (Dalmation, Jack Russell, Yorkie, Golden, Dachsund(sp)) and my wife and I's current dog (Yorkie/Poodle) would've never bit us even if we pushed it hard. No no, that dog knew what it did the moment it did it. Because of it's breed though, it was too late, its reaction was natural.

 

I don't know if any of you have watched Cesar Millan "The Dog Whisperer" it is all in how you take control of your house and your dog. Sure Pit Bulls Are bully breeds, but they just need more attention and work. If you do not have time or are to lazy to walk or work with your dog then don't get one. That goes for anyone that wants any kind of dog. If you can not take care of it do not get one. The two Pit Bulls and the Rottweiler I have would never bite Me nor my FAMILY!! I spend a lot of time with my dogs and they are great dogs. They love kids & other dogs. You can PUSH, SHOVE, PULL, and TUG and my DOGS would not even flinch. It is all on how you raise them. And not everybody is the same. If Cesar Millan can take Pit Bulls that used to FIGHT for a living and turn them into loving animals, then you tell me where people of America can have the right to judge a breed! Just like us judging a RACE.

I had a Pit/Sheppard (actually, it's a Staff Terrier) and it was the greatest dog ever.
She was a pound puppy, and it's 100% true what's been said - Pit's are great dogs and are only as bad as they've been ABUSED to behave - PERIOD.

Cocker Spaniels are much more dangerous - they bite more people than any other dogs - it's just the
'bangers and the wanna-be's that abuse/train Pit's to fight and hate.
