Hey everybody, well I preordered a PS3 AND A Wii!!! but i dont think im gonna take both of them, but which one should i take? I wanted to get the Wii just because of that cool looking controller, but i the PS3 i dunno how the graphics will be, so help??? if you were in my position, what would u get???

PS3 hands down. Or wait, I take that back. Get the wii and sell me the ps3!

If you had one of each guaranteed, I'd take the PS3. I'd then sell it on ebay or somewhere for a proverbial "fat sack o' cash", then buy a Wii.

 

Buy a Wii for now, and wait for the PS3 to go down a bit in price, and than buy the ps3. Or u can buy the ps3 now, sell it, use the profit to buy a Wii.

Well 3 people said to buy the Wii and 2 people said to buy the PS3 but than most of you said to buy both and sell one and make some extra cash... WELL! i just got back from gamestop, and i got the Wii... just gotta pick it up on friday.... I didnt get the PS3 because they told me the whole total for both of them would be $790.34 !!! I can buy a carbon fiber hood PLUS some HIDs for that much.. lol (I think) so i just got the wii 2 controllers and NEED FOR SPEED: CARBON woo i cant wait!!!

 

By friday you mean next sunday right? I thought it was the 19th for the Wii and the 17th for the PS3.

 

Madzorzs is right. I should know. I'm camping at Walmart in Saratoga for 42 hours for the Wii. I did it last year for the 360.

I might just camp out to get that PS3, cause i already got an offer for it, lol (If i get it) but i turned down my pre-ordered one (stupid me) i dont know why, but now that everyone is saying eBay it... lol, and TANTALIZEDMIND damn 42 hours!! lol.. wow, I didnt camp out last year because the 360 just wasent what i wanted, but now that i see Halo 3 coming out, and its only for the 360, looks like ill be picking one up also, lol... anyway Im going to Game Stop in about 30 minutes, if they still got my pre-ordered Ps3 there, anyone want to shoot offers??

 

I don't think camping out for a Wii is gonna be necessary. Nintendo is normally on point when it comes to release day consoles. At least I'm hoping it stays that way. I can't go up early to camp out at the 24 hour Wal-Mart the day before. My niece is turning 1 on the 18th, then after the party, I gotta watch UFC. I'll try my luck after thats done. If not, I'll just go hang out somewhere outside a different store for a few hours until they open. I'm hoping I don't have to though.

 

First off, there will be a lot more Wiis out there than PS3s. North America recieved the largest allocation of Wiis. (Something like 4 million will be available by the end of the year where the PS3 isn't expected to hit that mark until March 'o7.)

Should of got the PS3. You will more than likely double what you paid for it selling it on eBay because little Billy wants one for X-Mas. Its going to be amazing to see just how much those fools are going to sell the PS3 for on eBay. You could have gotten a CF Hood, CF Rear Garnish, etc...

About the PS3 being more expensive than the Xbox 360? They are the same price. How? Read on... The PS3 will be able to play Blu-Ray Discs straight-out-of-the-box. Does the Xbox 360 play HD-DVDs straight-out-the-box? No. you have to spend another $200 to get the HD-DVD Player. That makes the 360s the same price as the 2 models of the PS3. That's if you even want the HD-DVD Player. If not, then 'yes' the 360 is cheaper.

Pointless because MGS4 doesn't come out for a year? You must be smoking crack. A lot of consloes have launched with mostly mediocore games. The PS3 has probably the best line-up of games for a console that has ever launched. Since the 360 has had a year head start, Sony has to step up to the plate and deliver some really nice games. Will they hit a home run or strike out? We'll see.

As for me? I'm hoping to get my PS3 on Friday. If I don't, no biggie. I just bought a house so I can wait until next year to buy a PS3.

Well, since you plan to get both eventually, i'd suggest the wii for now. Its much more cheaper and theres more favorable titles to choose from..altho the only one i'm currently playing is zelda. PS3 will have a strong lineup of games further into 2007, but by then, you should be able to pick up a system up in a store without much waiting.
