Rear License Plate lights. Any color illegal?
Was thinking of getting some Blue or Red LEDs for my Rear license plate lights. I tried Searching, so flame away if a thread is easily found concerning the legalities of colored lights, but I couldn't find it.
Can I swap my rear license plate lights with any type of lights? (blue, bright whites, red, amber or anything else, or can they only be a certain "color" (white) legally?

Direct from my state's laws:
Pretty plain...
Either a tail lamp or a separate lamp shall be so constructed and placed as to illuminate with a white light the rear registration plate and render it clearly legible from a distance of fifty feet to the rear. Any tail lamp or tail lamps, together with any separate lamp or lamps for illuminating the rear registration plate, shall be so wired as to be lighted whenever the head lamps or auxiliary driving lamps are lighted.

I'd refer to the DMV website, I looked at Delaware... stock only
Delaware is uber strict.
I had a buddy who had a CRX with Clear tail lights and colored bulbs for signals brakes etc, and got pulled over and fined XD
He swapped back to his old tail light ASAP he wanted to put lights on the license plate nut or some crap like that, but he ask the cop and he'll pull him over if he sees it LOL
