I'm helping my boss sell her 08 silverado-lifted and 4X4.
Now I know these are about as different as two vehicles can be. I've been driving the truck around with for sale signs on it for a week and a half. Got in my car and drove around today and God I love it. It's all stock, except the catback and intake. The handling is shockingly good. Feeling G-forces again is great!! Again, maybe you have to drive a lifted truck for a week to notice but our tc's really handle fantastically. I will however soon be getting a rear sway bar because if the reviews here.
The power and acceleration.. Wonderful. I guess that 5.3L V8 must be extremely heavy. I love how zippy the tc is.
Anyway, all this might sound crazy if you don't drive many very differnent vehicles. Just drive something else and appreciate your cars!

Driving other cars made me realize how pathetic the tC is.
Go drive something like a MS3, WRX, Si, then come back and tell us how your tC now feels like a lifted Silverado with a gutless I-4 powering it.

lol weird. I am considering a Wrx as te next car. Never driven one though. Also, could I just get the regular Impreza and add the turbo? That is the only difference between the impreza and wrx right?

You took that as a yes? Wow. Just to give you a little hint as to how far off you are, I'll just say that the 2.5i and WRX don't even use the same engine.

Here's the extent of research I did on the Subaru. I like the way they look and sound and I like the idea of all wheel drive. I went to edmunds.com and compared the specs of the 07 year I think, base and wrx. It was like 173hp compared to 235 or so. Something like that. So, I assumed they just threw a turbo on the engine like some car manufacturers do. Sorry I didn't know the engine codes or displacement numbers and other specs so that I fit into your elite club. Like I said, this I a couple years away at the minimum.
Why couldn't you just share your knowledge with others rather than ridicule? Automotive forums are about sharing knowledge. At least they used to be.

well it was common sense, even to me and I don't hang around subby's nor ever owned one.
and srsly if you get butt hurt over someone saying something on a public forum then you shouldn't be apart of the forums. noone said anything serious, it was jokes. relax champ

And what manufacturer just throws a turbo on a car and calls it a different model? I honestly can't think of one. This is an honest question btw.
Lancer? No. The Evo is completely different, inside and out.
Mazda 3? No. The MS3 is completely different, inside and out.
Neon? No. The SRT4 is completely different, inside and out.
Impreza? No. The WRX is completely different, inside and out.
BMW 3 Series? No. The 335i is completely different, inside and out.
Because you're the kind of person who compares the handling of a lifted truck to a Scion tC. Or the kind of person who uses Edmunds.com to compare cars.
