I have to write a research paper for school, and it can be anything that I want. I was considering doing it about something with automobiles, but I can't think of something good enough that would last 8-10 pages with strong enough support. Any Ideas?

 

Focus your attention at alternative fuel. Hybrids, electrics, hydrogen, E85... there's a lot of info out there. It's also a very timely subject.

 

Just write it on medical marijuana or physician assisted suicide and then let me borrow it

i did a huge research paper on different alternative fuels, like e-85, bio diesel, hybrids, and compressed air.

 

You can do a "total cost of ownership" of a Toyota Prius Hybrid versus a Civic LX gasoline.

Can estimate total fuel usage of both vehicles given xxxxx miles per year, and you're likely to find that it's much cheaper to own the gasoline vehicle.

Then, draw conclusions based on incentives to buy. Usually, people will only "go green" if it doesn't affect their pocketbook, or saves them money. Example is the swirly lightbulbs.

 

I like all of the ideas presented. Unfortunately, we can't do drugs. Marijuana for Medicinal purpose is out of the question. But I will consider the others. Thanks everybody!

 

Oh yeah, senior project sucks. I've got mine this semester and I'm doing the evolution of photography. More specifically, the evolution of different styles/techniques of photography and evolution of its technology. Our paper only had to be 6-8 pages, not including the chart and bibliography. My paper is done and now I'm working on the physical product which is uber easy. I just have to make a photo book of pictures that I've taken demonstrating the different styles and techniques...

Yea, different title, same thing... every senior has to write a research paper. I decided to do mine on Pos. effects of genetic engineering. We don't have to have a physical product, but ours is 8-10 without abstract/bibliography/etc.

 

Ahh...I see.

We have to write a paper; put the paper, charts, biblio, abstract, journals, forms, etc. into a portfolio; create a physical product (which we have to log at least 15 hours working on), meet with a mentor at least 3 times, and do a presentation near the end of the semester.

 

ouch. >.< and we thought that ours is long...
