I just saw it today and was nearly so ____ed off at the movie I almost walked out in the middle of it...Anyone else feel like this?

I mean wtf, psychic powers? isnt that pushing it a little bit?
And why would they bother capturing zombies...and then clothing them all in similar jumpsuits? Why do they have those just laying around in the first place? Ugh. Video game movies will never work out....

 

the ending bummed me, was too abrupt. the psychic thing was started at the end of RE2. The jumpsuits thing ... I just assumed it was part of the "domestication" project, having them dress themselves, just like using a cell phone and a camera, or they were zombies already in Umbrella suits that had turned prior to the compound benig secured, or even umbrella cronies that he intentionally had infected above ground...either way ....

It really wasnt a bad movie, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but maybe I just didn't set me expectations high enough.

 

Yeah, I tend to have high expectations.

 

Haven't had a chance to see this yet, but I work with some hard core RE players. They said they were let down also. Didn't follow the story line very well. They said if it wasn't based on RE or if someone didn't follow it super closely. It was good. So, since I fall in that group I just might still go and check it out.

They did mention the jedi like powers and its kind of making me want to wait till it comes out on DVD.

 

it was a let down but it was still a good movie...definitely gonna be a 4th though...

 

I unno ... I'd kinda like to let it end right here. It's not as good as the 2nd one, and doesn't even approach the first one, IMHO. I don't think a 4th one would do anyone any good. I mean, short of ruining it for anyone, what would possible be next?

This needs to be it, or move onto another story arch in the game series and spinoff from that. Maybe just kill off Leeloo and move onto one of the saved characters, make them one of the other heroes from the game, and voila, a refreshed movie sequel.

And hey, at least it isn't Bloodrayne :D

 

I didn't see RE3. I have a feeling it's going to suck. I'm a hardcore resident evil player. The first RE movie was cool. it got a B- in my book but RE2 suck. come on when in the video game you can fight nemesis in hand to hand combat? the answer is never. when in the video game you have psychic powers? answer never. that scene when Alice was fight nemesis in hand to hand combat was pushing it. Another part that I didn't like when nemesis had feelings for her and jump in the way of the Heilcopter. that will never happen in the game. RE2 was a Let down. that's why I'm waiting to see RE3. i want alice to die in the movie and it happen in part two but they brought her back to life. RE2 was a let down. I will never pay for another crappy RE movie again.
