This has been around for over a decade. As mentioned above, BMW actually had a production car (Z1) with these types of doors.

Fortunately, the staff at all of the clubs I go to know me, so I never have any problems getting in or getting drinks for girls. It pays to become friends with bouncers or bartenders and go to all the parties.

The best part is walking past the line of a hundred something people and being greeted by the bouncer as you walk right in.

 

^^^now just imagine but instead driving up to the front retracting the doors, getting out, and going straight up to the bouncer. You'd be getting some major "gold digger" attention.

 

I know, right?

I already either get a ton of people ____ed off, jealous, or wanting to talk to me. If you got seen getting dropped off in front of the place, door opened for you, and you walk right in with props from the bouncer...

...that would only be a step up for my first impression.

Oh yeah, If you go to the club and you know everyone, call first and let them know who's in your party. They will put it on their list and you won't just seem like some jerk getting all your friends in for free.
