Default Scion #1 In Reliability - Consumer Reports

Well... everything we already knew about Scion is being touted in the latest Consumer reports survey on reliability. The top 5 are all Toyota and Honda companies. Go figure.

Scion tops Consumer Reports reliability study

Best American made car? Ford.

EDIT: Better link for story

Unless it was built by Land Rover or Saturn, which were two of the worst on the list.

Something to be said for good DNA and quality engineering.

that's no surprise that Toyota and Honda ranked that high.

I think GM's path is to go full-tilt into their new electric-first cars and get after Toyota and their Hybrids. It will be good for both countries AND give the economy a kick in the pants.

Then, if T. Boone turns out to be for real with his windmills.... BOOM!

TBoone Pickins FTW.

Seriously though, why Scion first, then honda/acura, and then in 3rd toyota/lexus? Scion is nothing original as far as drive train components.

Just like Saturn being worse than GM/Chevy vehicles... saturn is owned by GM and it's components are all GM.

Just curious how a sibling company can be doing worse/better when all of the cars are the same with different body panels?

Good question. I think it has something to do with different plants building the cars, management and maybe different vendors supplying the parts.

I haven't seen the actual list and any scores but, I imagine, the difference between #1 and #5 is pretty tight.
