I have been off SL for a few months, getting things in order for the next stage of my life. I login today to see what I miss and I find a series of tit-for-tat, school yard _____ing going on between 2 of the best F/I companies for Scion.

I am thoroughly disgusted and unimpressed with the blatant lack of professionalism between both companies. In this case there is no right and wrong, good or better; in this case they are both wrong. Times are hard for everyone, everyone has to eat, everyone has to pay bills and perhaps it is times like these that bring out the absolute worst in people.

I have dealt with both companies, purchasing a S1 system from Dezod and driving 10 hours to allow PTUNING to tune it. Both companies are top notch but to see the reckless dissing of each other on a public site is absolutely unacceptable.

Both companies make awesome products and from my experience one could not go wrong choosing either, in fact most have opted to choose both. Healthy competition is good for the market and certainly good for Scion owners but this type of behavior must end.

Not only is this type of behavior detrimental to sales but it also increases the douchebag syndrome which goes something like, "My Denso 1-step colder spark plug purchased from PTUNING is better than your Denso 1-step colder spark plug purchased from Dezod because I got mine from PTUNING.", this attitude is contagious and does nothing to perpetuate what both companies are trying to achieve.

In closing....quit the *****ing.

It was fun at first but then it just got to be personal bickering. Pretty much solidified me swapping to Descendant (who has been a part of the bickering but stepped aside, thankfully). Plus Rado is the real Scion racer... Nobody can deny that

I know its been a battle lately but this isnt gonna change the fact that PTUNING are the best ( I know I shouldnt have done that )

Decendant is doing good staying out of it all the bickering. There is some good info coming from both companies between the fighting though.

 

I can think of a specific someone who cried whenever someone bashed some company and now he bashes another company in his sig. It's cute.

 

I wasn't trying to really solve any problem, just stating it should have never been a problem to begin with. It's competition but at the same time there is a diminishing return; meaning you say your piece and move on. No need to go back and forth, that's just really childish and not very professional and what I know about both companies is that they are very professional.

Continue to put out awesome products and people tend to STFU on their own, no need to fight with them.

LOL not yet but this is SL, anything is possible.

 

im for Dezod here, i think ppl turned when ptuning came out with a turbokit but ive oredered little things from(Dezod) them and always had great shipping time and customer help and once taxes come back ill be buying big things from them to get my build moving and almost every item on there site that ptuning also has usually cheaper on Dezods site

Should have never been a problem.
Just two companies being passionate about what they believe in.
Write or wrong it needs to stop.
I mean most of the people on here have preferance in shop already. But what about the noobs. Lol. I wouldn't be comfortable picking a shop. You know.

 

i mean come on its tax season these guys are just trying to make money when its the best and ppl are about to start hitting the track hard so dont expect it to stop but actually get worse

i have no problem with competition in the market place. if there wasn't any, we wouldn't have so many awesome parts and knowledge about our cars to do what we love to do with them.

as for any bickering. well, boys will be boys, and market share is the key to running a profitable business. i have no problem with companies doing their best to one-up the other guy, but we're all (mostly) adults here. but where there are hot cars, big turbos and huge WHP numbers, there are sure to be ego's to match. it just comes with the territory.

 

Competition is one thing....childish flexing of eMuscle is another.

 

^agreed. Personal thoughts as long as it was kept contructive and in their own threads, it would probaly be ok, otherwise its just a waste.
