Default SL Females (and males), need your advice on a Christmas Gift

As you all know, Christmas is coming. My g/f and I have been dating for over 3 years now. I'm running out of ideas on what to get her for this Christmas. If you have any ideas on what I should get her, please tell me. She is by far the most caring person I know. Her family moved to the east coast back in summer, but she stayed here for me; she will visit them this Christmas. She is not into designer brands (unlike me ...refer to my Blackfriday list) or anything too fancy. She currently works and sings with Marques and Omari, so she has seen a lot of luxuries as is; but is more humble than a saint. If you can think of something to help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it. My budget is anything under $1k.

That's where I get stuck. She never shows interest in anything she wants when I'm shopping with her, not even hints, cause she knows I'll buy it in a heartbeat. So that's why now she shops alone when she can. Sucks for meee, but I know clothes-wise she likes shopping at places similar to Forever 21 (I always get her that stuff tho). She wants a puppy, but no way in heck will her dad let her keep it so thats out of the question. She needs a small digital camera but I only trust Sony's. Wants to go to disneyland (which I'll take her Dec 10). If I find out anything else, I'll let you know.

Go to my myspace and click on her. That might help some ppl help me, cause girls have this weird talent where they can get an idea of what other girl's like when they have that info

so why not get her a digital camera and the digital picture frame like locondcoco suggested.

digi cam's aren't as expensive as they use to be. you could probably pick up a really nice one for under $500 and get the frame for no more than $200. that's a high quote on prices too.

Murbyrne... lol. But you bring up a good point.

Surely you can see her ears, right? Get her some earrings that she might like, and act all nervous when you give it to her. When she opens the box, if her eyes light up... awesome, she likes the present. If they light up and then dim, she probably still like the earring, but she was expecting a ring. And you get some forewarning.

i know you said you only trust Sony cameras, but in my experience, nothing beats a Canon, and this seems to be the nicest one out there right now. and from this site, they also throw in a free 1GB SD card.

ok, here's what would do it for me... think back to a REALLY special day that the two of you spent together and see if you have anything around that reminds you of it... ie... a match book from a restaurant, an old love letter... something sentimental that was just around... now do something with it to make it look like a gift. The best gift of all to a woman is to know that she is special and loved and that the memories that you have made will last in your heart forever... and that's FREE.

I like this idea. I was going to do it last year but I was broke at the time. Might be something to consider.

Yeah, this might be one of many gifts I'll get her.

Hmmm. Now you got me thinking. Sony DSC-W90 or this one.....Thanks for the help! I know Canon's are amazing when it comes to their SLRs but I wasn't sure about their compact cameras.

that's right. Take it from the old broad. :D
for my birthday my bf took a painting that my son did in school (he was in Kindergarden at the time he made it) and had it framed. BEST GIFT EVER!
when they say its the thought that counts.... its the thought that counts. Material goods only make you happy for a small time and chances are in a few weeks or months you don't even remember the gift. Remember being little and getting oodles of stuff for you b'day and then someone asking you a bit later what Aunt Rose got you and you had NO idea... kinda like that...[/code]

Nintendo Wii if you can find one. You guys will have hours of fun together.

Me & my boyfriends 4 year anniversary is coming up & I'm kinda stumped, too. I feel bad for him though because there's my bday (Dec 23rd), Christmas (Dec 25), & then our 4 year anniversary (January 24th). He's screwed.

Luckily we're both into cars (he has an Evo), so I'm sure all of our presents to each other will be car related. Maybe I'll ask him to get my roll cage powdercoated, hmmm....you see, now YOU'VE got me thinking.
