Ok for the people who think its wrong that they want to drug test all the people before they get welfare or food stamps ... Well here's a great example of why. Tonight after work I stopped at the gas station on my way home... There was a a girl outside waiting for people to go in the store. Right before they walk in she gives a pitty story on how she needs to get something fixed but does not have cash to do it. So she was asking people if she could by their food and drink products on her food stamp card and they just give her the cash for it... Sneaky.. but she definitely needed the cash for drugs... I am a strong believer that people should get drug tested before getting these things.. us tax payers should not be paying for these peoples drug habits..... TICKED** LOL whew sorry had to blow off some steam ..

 

Not just one drug test, complete random screenings periodically to weed out the system leeches

Only people that work should have disposable "drug" money. Because, until that point - welfare recips. are buying them with MY money.

I dont have a problem giving people money for food, shelter, and clothes (cheap clothes). I DO have a problem with food stampers buying STEAK, shrimp, and SODA with it. Honestly, if you dont have your own money, you should be GRATEFUL to eat ramen noodle soup.

Also, welfare recips should NOT have "luxury" vehicles. No caddy or merc or BMW for you. I dont care HOW many kids you have. They should be saddled with cavaliers/cobolts, or something on the low end - AND they should be branded with a sticker saying "Paid for - by other hard working Americans".

Problem is, being on welfare/food stamps (with a credit card) is not demoralizing any more. Saying your on unemployment to your friends isnt a big deal anymore. I know people who have scammed the system for almost 2 years now. I rip them a new one, any time they talk about "buying" anything.

We need to make it so that it is looked down on. People need to have a motivation to move upwards in life, and with free handouts, that will NEVER happen.

Welfare recips should not be able to smoke cigs, drink alcohol.. ANYTHING. You are not a "free citizen" if your getting handsouts from me and my friends that work 40+ hour jobs. Hell, before I bought my first house I was working THREE jobs.

I totally agree with making people ____ in a cup for welfare. I've seen those crack heads out in the parking lots asking for money etc so they can "Get home"...Yeah right. I have to ____ in a cup for my job, US Army, if I fail that, I'm kicked out, plain and simple. It should be the exact same way with them.
