Strip out all the rice modifications done to that car and I'm willing to bet you'll knock out $9,000 from its over inflated price.
Honda knows rice sells, so they take advantage of ricers like you.
HONDA does nothing to there cars RICE wise. People who midify cars DO. MUGEN designed there take on the si. Were do you get 9,000 dollars of rice from?
Obviously your just in denial that the scion is no were near as on the same platform, and never was intended to be performance oriented like the si. stop defending your scion thats geared towards " kids on a budget " and realize that MUGEN , and HONDA > Scion
Go beat sand..

All of your arguments are based on opinion, which is fine you have your own opinion but now that youve stated it and made your point, you have no other reason to be on this thread due to the fact what your doing now is just..well, nothing productive.
Of course, i know you wont get off this thread because people like you thrive on arguments on forums. Obviously.
Not one thing on the Si is rice oriented, if you watched a video on the Mugen Si you would see all of it plays a role and all is functional.
Mugen knows what their doing, something you have a hard time believing since your a Toyota fan boy.
Its not being defended by rice lovers
Go figure.

I have a deposit down for the new STi coming out, but i was thinking about maybe changing that. (its fully refundable) I don't think i'd get the Mugen Si though, its worth what you pay (so long as you arent screwed with the mark up) but the problem is i couldnt see driving something like that daily, i mean you could but something like that i would rather have a secondary car and keep the miles as low as possible.
The tC is a good alternative to several cars alucas, but theres a reason why its an alternative. Especially in stock form.
I heard rumors that we might be getting the type-r for '09 or '10, i wonder if that will happen and if theyd stick to the same concept as integra type r for the usd ones.

During a recent press drive for the Euro-market Honda Civic Type R (which resulted in this month’s WR cover story), our European Editor, Matt Davis, caught some heavy hints that a variant of the Honda Civic Type R is indeed headed Stateside in 2010.
Though the assistant chief engineer from Tochigi was loath to talk specifics, the plan is to offer a package in keeping with the Japanese-market Honda Civic Type R (read: four-door sedan), and include a horsepower boost and a limited-slip differential.
The prototype car shown, modeled on Honda’s JDM/ASEAN market Civic sedan, incorporates a 2.0-liter iVTEC engine giving nearly 220 horsepower,
along with the usual suspension and appearance modifications. Given the close proximity of the standard Japanese Civic sedan to its North American counterpart, it would likely be easier to federalize such a model than attempt to import the Euro-market Honda Civic Type R’s angular hatchback, whose bodystyle wasn’t developed with either the U.S. or Canada in mind.
This strikes us as a wise move, because as wonderful as the current Honda Civic Si is here in the States, it’s outgunned by high-horsepower entries like the Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru WRX,
both of which will be likely targets for this more expensive CTR.

The Mugen Si is more or less a teaser than for what is to come from honda. [=
Didn't know it was finalized, i cant wait! I've always adored the type-r class.

ANYWAYS...
The Mugen si is a good buy @ 30k, not a penny more. To whomever said the sedan weighs more than the coupe is wrong. the coupe is 60 LBS less.
Well, IF we could get this over here, all you EVO fanboys would crap yourself. This IS priced at 38k, and has 240 hp ALL MOTOR, and is lighter. Honda Civic Type- RR:

I assume prices for the type r will range in the upper 20's for msrp, probably sell around 30-33k.

Yeah, i know, cheaper than the mugen.
Yeah, i know, cheaper than the mugen.
So it should be more, from a sales stand point. Might not be on type-r level, but its as close as we will get for now.
