God, I hope they have a flashback with "Eddie" living in his parents basement and have his dad from "That 70's Show" come in and call him a dumbass. They should give cameos to all the castmembers from "That 70's show".

 

I'll be disappointed with the origin of venom and the story around it. as with most marvel adaptions, they really screw up everyone's origin. Like the whole Gwen/MJ scenario. Spidey was traumatized by he himself killing gwen, that was a big part of character development. but we saw in the 1st move, they changed it to mj and he's able to save both the cable car and her. booo.

i like seeing all my comics i read when i was a kid into movies, but they have seriously dicked with each one, to get the pg13 rating and familys into it.

 

Foreplay's in this? Oh that is just too sweet! Think they'll have spidey, MJ, and Foreman sitting in a smokey circle at some point? cuz that would be shibby! Maybe if Foreman is a host on SNL........

 

oh im sure they are gonna F this all up...

to my best recollection... venom followed spidey back from the secret wars... now.... those had all the marvel heroes involved... i dont see that in the movie...

probably gonna make it some weird science/millitary experiment gone wrong..

 

Actually anyone in here read the Ultimate Spiderman version?

I bought it for my kid brother when he heard there was a new movie and Venom was going to be in it.
I just so happened to read it first though, hehe. But they did a pretty good job of making the suit and Venom without involving anything with Outer space.
Highly recommend it. I bought it for like 6 bucks at Target. It was a collection of the whole story.

 

All Spidey fans know about the Secret Wars, but that doesn't serve the prupose of the film.

When will everyone realize that what works in comic books may not work in film?

Should they make a series of movies in between Spidey 2 and 3 all about the war? Just so they can get the symbiote?

 

^^ Supposedly it's the suit just came out of a meteorite. No explanation past that.

I'll be seeing it tonight, so I'll let you all know if it'll work or not.

 

Heh, maybe they'll have a storyline of how Eddie (Foreskin) had a domineering a$$hole father who constantly destroyed his self esteem and called him dumba$$.
