Spin Off (sorta) of the Sickness Thread
Are you very clean. I mean, like do you keep a bottle of antibacterial goo and use it all day long?
I was once at the Burger King kid's play area and watched a mother call her children to her and slather them with the antibacterial goo every 5 minutes or so. I can understand cleaning their hands before eating but this was just random. When taking this story and mentioning it to the ladies on my baby message board (we all had kids born the same month), most of them said they'd never even take their kids there due to germs.
Now, aren't we all just ruining our immune system by killing all the germs? What affect is all this antibacterial crap going to have on us? Our bodies will be unable to fight of germs on it's own eventually. Lets add that many people have become resistant to antibiotics due to them being prescribed too much.
(I'm miserably sick and got sickness on my mind)

Studies proved that using anti bacterial soap is worst than using normal soap because the stron bacteria will get accustomed to the antibacterial soap/liquid and actually grow faster/stronger.
Having said that, I carry antibacterial gel with me at all times. Use it when there's no restroom nearby and need to eat, touch my face, after I smoke, to kill smoke smell....
My hands already hurt at 22.

Here in WA, most grocery stores even have antibacterial wipes next to the shopping carts. They did a bacteria test on the cart handles and they don't even show to have a high concentration of bacteria on them in the first place.
I think the biggest crime committed with the antibacterial goo is seeing it placed next to hand washing sinks. If your hands are dirty, you wash them. You ought never be given an option of washing or just slathering them with antibiotic goo.
I worked at Taco Bell for 4 months about a decade ago and the employees there would use the goo INSTEAD of washing with soap and water. Oh the humanity!

Seriously, if that's the case, I'd love to know. LOL, I just got back from Rite Aid with daytime and nighttime cold medicine.
I've been told that an overly-clean lifestyle could potentially lead to allergies and health problems later on.
I guess you can say I'm a moderate-clean person. I'm not afraid to sweat (in Southern Florida, let me remind you), and I rarely use the A/C.

Case in point, the comment above. I know dang well that every mom on that board takes their kid to play areas. What's different about the BK play area vs a park play area? Please. There were probably one or two of the lead hens on that board that genuinely think it's horrible parenting to expose a kid to those nasy germ infested play area, and the rest of them were just following in step.
Mom groups are evil.
Back to the topic at hand: Keep some anti-bac-goo in the truck and at the house. If I've been playing with the dog, or cleaning something nasty, I wanna kill that stuff before I pick up the baby. We're not **** about the germs, because the boy does have to build his resistance and the only way to do that is to get sick.

YUCK. I must say though they are the source of many jokes that my coworkers and I make to get through the day.
