The scoop is definitely just hanging out on there.
was on the Air Force base tonight and saw this, the paint was chipping, and no, its not a carbon fiber hood(painted)

he was talking about the star wars del sol

This has to be one of the worst wings Ive ever seen!
most all spoilers are ridiculous anyway, when i worked in nascar, I was explained to that spoilers don't serve any function til 120+mph, and most everyone who drives with one can't get they're car up to that anyway.
same with carbon fiber hoods. ok, they shed a miniscule amount weight, but really, so what?
People painted their hoods black in racing because they worked on them all the time, because oil and grease would look obvious on cars with a hood other than black.
Most everyone who has a carbon filber hood doesn't open their hood except to show off what a mechanic did. Why would it be black to hide the grease if you weren't in a pit having to quickly fix your car and then show it off? same with those people who install the hood clips. What's the logical reason, other than to appear like someone who works on their car?
the aftermarket industry has made a whole bunch of suckers if you ask me.

^Wow....way to try and kill a funny thread.
BTW...I think most people buy Carbon Fiber products to enhance looks rather that performance.
Oh...and the Star Wars Del Sol is funny as hell. I think the guy uses it for parades and stuff.
