That is me, I'll be 41 next month. Its a real bolt gun, as I was the range master for a MilSim event. The photo was taken at the CQB Challenge that I instructed at. I am a Senior Drill SGT in the Army Reserve and was in Desert Storm pt. 1.

I'm second on the left, standing, back row.

This is 1SG(ret) Cruz from 19th Group/2nd Ranger BN/4th Ranger Training Brigade and I at the same event.

Me again.

I usually wear BDUs or DCUs w/o patches for AS events.

I am authorized to wear the Oakleys in uniform. They are photogrey and impact/bullet resistant prescription glasses.

I must be an "old soldier" now. The ACUs are ging to be the 7th or 8th uniform change I've dealt with. Or is it more than that? I stopped counting a while ago.

Dewmerz, after a while one begins to enjoy those daily beatings - they become what seem a fine way to start one's day in the castle. Those rare times when one isn't beaten on first showing up seem somehow wanting and lost - one just drifts through the entire day with a feeling of being ignored.

And Lalagimp, this isn't hazing, it is little different from the usual Masonic order initiations and rites, though any further talk of THAT must take place in a tyled lodge...
